 + -1 moreI have been a fan of Edge of Glass for awhile. Whenever I'd stop by there would be new interesting pieces, great colors, & a nice diversity of work. I went to Fremont 1st Friday Art Walk & watched James Curtis make flowers. I signed up for one (it's free). When I came to pick it up, James talked with me about his art & showed me what he calls, Metamorphic Glass. He kept lighting pieces and they would change color. I had never seen anything like it. I was hooked. I got my 1st lamp about 6 months later. James took his time with me and pointed out things I might not like. He says almost all of his business is word of mouth, so even if it means losing a sale, his priority is to make sure his customers are still happy with their purchases when they get them home. He did a great job packing it so it wouldn't get damaged on the way home. I got a set of floor lamps this year. Oddly enough, none of them are metamorphic, just beautiful. Maybe next year.
Description of Work: I got 3 gorgeous floor lamps. The one I got last year, I picked the base and shade separately, he then attached the shade I wanted to the base I wanted. The set of 2 floor lamps I got this year, I just took as they were originally set up. Can't improve on perfection. Did a terrific job packing to prevent damage on the trip home, even offered to deliver at no extra charge. (The attached pictures do not do them justice, but it was the best I could do.)
