We contacted Donnelly and Donnelly for an estimate of services to conduct an estate sale of all personal property of our deceased aunt. They showed up on time and provided all of the applicable information and answered all of our questions. We chose them because we felt they would provide the best service at a reasonable price.
We gave them a key to the property a week prior to the sell and they worked 5 - 8 hours a day to prepare for the sale. They organized the hundreds of items and priced them all. They did considerable research on the old and antique items to price them with the most competitive price. They conducted the sale in a very professional manner, making sure that there was proper security as to avoid theft.
When the sale was complete they boxed and bagged up the remaining items and took them to the nearest donation center. The majority of the garbage was removed as per our instructions. We wanted to remove the large items ourselves.
After all sales were tallied they sent us a check for the proceeds minus their service charges and receipts for the items donated to charity. We made about as much money as we expected, which we are sure is more than we would have made had we done the sale ourselvesplus we did not have to spend the incredible about of time preparing for and conducting the sale.
We were very happy with the whole process. It was so nice to walk in to the empty house when everything was done; we would highly recommend Donnelly & Donnelly Estate Sale Service.
