Don did a great job rebuilding the deck on our family home. He was able to recreate my father's original mid-century modern design beautifully.
I wanted the work done right, so I interviewed a lot of contractors before proceeding. Don's bid was competitive, and he was willing to put in the extra attention to detail needed to restore our deck to its original, unique style. Other contractors saw the unusually shaped deck, bid high, and then even at inflated prices still wanted to square-off the deck shape, to make it more like other decks. Because Don himself actively worked on the job every day, he was able to provide more personalized attention, and didn't need to simplify the design for an unsupervised crew. He was efficient, on time, easy to work with, and got the job scheduled and completed while the summer sun was still shining.
From Don Hurd we got the truly custom deck we wanted, at a very fair price. The finished deck is well-built, beautiful, and we are thrilled!
