The front staff was incredibly helpful and explained everything in great detail. They didn't make a bunch of recommendations or extra add-ons, and I felt very happy about the whole exchange. I know that Ric Heideger and his incredible staff will take great care of my vehicle and provide honest service. I trust Ric and his wealth of knowledge about auto mechanics, and I know that my 13-year-old car is in good hands at Dr. Don's. I wouldn't trust my car anywhere else!

Their work is excellent. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We have used Doctor Don's for years, for several trucks that our small remodeling company owns. Doctor Don's has always been honest and almost always gotten the repairs 100% right the first time. On the rare occasion that things have required additional attention, Ric and his staff have taken responsibility and addressed the issues promptly and efficiently.
What do we like? Ric is an expert. No matter what issue we present, Ric knows the vehicle and is familiar with the issue. He is kind of a savant that way. He is an expert at looking up service notices when he doesn't already know what might be going on. The staff always communicates very well after assessing and diagnosing the issue, provides an accurate estimate, lets us know our options, and advises what we should do. Often the advise is to NOT repair the issue - Ric always puts our interests first, even when it costs him business.
So... Good, local business; family owned; great communication; excellent work; even better follow up; and INTEGRITY! This is a great auto shop.
I highly recommend Doctor Don's Automotive. I only hope that they don't get too busy to fit my trucks into their schedule.

I had my VW diesel towed to Doctor Don's to replace a leaking fuel pump and diagnose a battery draining problem. My car is back and running and the battery draining problem is diagnosed. I have been going to Doctor Don's for years. They are great.

I've taken my Volvo in for minor maintenance a few times since I work close-by. They don't always have it done EXACTLY when they say, but the work seems to be good and the price is always fair.

They did it exactly when they said they would, and it was done in under an hour.

My breaks were mushy two days ago, and really mushy yesterday. I called and was told to come right down. It turned out to just be needing a little fluid top-off. Harry, the mechanic, let me know that it may take a while before they feel right, but that they are self-bleeding. Sure enough, I a home minutes later and they work perfectly!

I opted to get a second opinion from Doctor Don's while I had the car in for the preventative maintenance prescribed by Chrysler, who I have used in the past for automotive services. They changed the oil, flushed and exchanged the brake fluid and checked the lining, cleaned my non-disposable air filter and exchanged my manual transmission fluid. Doctor Don's determined that we can wait six months to make the repair, as long as we could stand the noise. I found that to be a discerning and thoughtful evaluation, and I appreciated being told that I could wait.

Dr. Don's had repaired our radiator in October, and we noticed a slow leak. They took the car in the day we called, fixed the radiator, and didn't charge us a penny!

They were prompt and charged me less than I was quoted. I never talked to them face to face. I dropped the car off and picked it up later. They communicated well.
