There were some slight hiccups with the schedule AND David communicated often and early. He looked beyond the immediate symptom to find a second support member that needed to be replaced. He was efficient and contentious. I would recommend him for your project and I would hire him again.

I didn't know what I wanted and Dave made suggestions that I thought were very good. He surpassed my expectations. He created a beautiful all cedar deck/entryway that adds much to my home. The bathroom looks superb thanks to David's attention to detail and beautiful tile work. The tub surround area had a lot of plaster to be removed with wood rot behind it that David treated before squaring up the wonky walls and installing 12x24 porcelain tile with two niches. It was great that he was able to replace all the non-standard pipe fittings in the shower so that it wasn't necessary to incur the expense and extra time to bring in a plumber separately to take care of it. The tub has a decorative bump-out that required the floor tile to be cut to match the curve of the tub and David's precise cuts are one of the details that give the room a very professionally finished look. The sink was tricky too because the drain hole wasn't round and the drain pipe had to be routed awkwardly, but his troubleshooting fixed an initial leak and it's been perfectly dry. I researched how to do shower tile when I was wondering how hard it would be to do it myself and so it was great to see that David meticulously carries out all the right preparation steps and finishes the job properly. He clearly cares about doing the job well. When the hauler who was supposed to take away all the heavy plaster and debris from the job failed to show up, David loaded it all into his truck and took it with him - much appreciated!!

During some recent plumbing repairs done by another company, a fiberglass tub surround was cracked and needed to be replaced. The wall studs around the tub were loose and uneven and the framing done by the previous home owner was odd. David prepared the area carefully, fixing the wall framing and installing a cement board base to make a solid foundation for the tile. He then installed 12" x 24" porcelain tile with two 12" x 12" niches, a band of decorative glass mosaic tile, and a curved shower curtain rod. He also painted the walls and ceilings. Everything was very neatly finished and the updated bathroom looks superb. David's attention to detail makes it look better than I thought possible and has transformed it from a destination of last resort to the preferred bathroom in the house.

David carefully examined the maze of framing that the previous owner had created in the ceilings and walls and figured out which boards could safely be cut to provide a straight exit route for the ducting. This was a difficult task because there were only a few holes in the drywall where plumbing pipe fittings had recently been replaced, so it was hard to get a complete picture of the framing structure. I hadn't realized the duct installation was so loopy until those holes were opened and then foolishly thought I could fix it myself. By the time I threw in the towel and called David, there were only a few days left before a drywall crew was scheduled to patch the holes. It was such a relief that he responded quickly, was able to fit in a morning's worth of work before the drywallers arrived, and found a good solution to this puzzle.

David responded to my email request within a prompt time and set up a time to inspect the damage. Once he determined he could fix it, we set a date, and he came prepared with all the equipment and materials needed. He completed the repairs in less time than we thought. After a few weeks, one of the repair areas showed unexpected damage, so he returned, figured out a more permanent fix, and returned to do it when the weather cooperated. He was really good about keeping in touch, and working efficiently.

David replaced a couple of windows for us. He did a great job with the windows, trimming out as necessary to fit our wonky old house. David came by to look at the issues we needed resolved. He proposed specific solutions and sent me a detailed estimate of what it would cost. He later came back to perform the work in two days. I think it all worked very well. He did the tasks he had specified in the time specified and seemed to work very efficiently. David charges per hour that he works but did not charge for his initial visit. He bought his own material and charged me exactly what he had paid for them.

David is great! He answers his phone, is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, nice to the dogs (comes with treats), and does quality work. He can be booked out awhile as he is very busy, but it is worth the wait. David arrived right on time and talked through the project with me. He also spent time looking at other future projects throughout the house. I received a detailed estimate for the job, sent a materials deposit and scheduled the work. Unfortunately, he was booked out 4 weeks but it was the end of summer rush. Once he started on my job, he was efficient and took care to do the work correctly. He made good recommendations as he got into the job, and got the work done in the original estimated time. In fact, he came in slightly under budget. The windows look fabulous and the siding work looks makes the house look like brand new construction. We are having him come back in a few weeks to do additional project work as he is very versatile, does quality work, and is reasonably priced.

I contacted David to get an estimate for re-framing our mudroom, which has been slumping for years apparently (just bought the house this spring but the planed door and misaligned paneling show that the sinking has been happening for a while). The slumping is-we think-due to bad gutters, which we replaced this summer, so we just needed to shore up the mudroom area (which wasn't done very well in the first place) and replace the rotted wood.
David was really responsive, emailed me quickly and we set up a time for him to come over. He arrived right on schedule and spent a good amount of time assessing the problem and the potential sources of it, as well as different kinds of solutions. He let us know when he would have the time to write up the estimate, which I really appreciated since other people we have had out have not been forthcoming in their timeline. David wrote us up an estimate when he said he would, and it was really reasonable.
We agreed to have him do the work, and before he came out he did all this research on whether we could jack up the mudroom to its original level state or if that would just introduce more problems. He even brought out an architect to examine the framing. We decided that jacking it up would not be a good idea, and we really appreciated David's transparent and thoughtful approach to making sure we had a robust, long-term solution.
David was very understanding when we had to reschedule his work due to another contractor blowing through their timeline. He got the re-framing done in 2 days, was prompt, professional, and thorough. He finished it up with weed-blocking fabric, lattice and rodent-proof mesh, and cleaned up the site well. He sent us photos and an invoice the evening after he was done. The mudroom is now really really stable, and we feel very confident that it will stay still. We plan to work with David for other projects that come up, if he's available!

Mr. Jones was on time and did not waste time. I walked through with him and showed him the issues to be addressed and in addition to understanding the problems, when I asked, he was able to suggest solutions. I really appreciate that he does not try to talk me into more work than I had in mind.

It went really well, David was on time and evaluated the requests. He did all the prep work, fixed shower tile and varnished wooded back splashes and worked on door 1st day. Came back next day to caulk everything and stained the door frame where the dead bolt locks on the second day

David's work is great and both times that he has done repairs on our home went very well. Because of his high ratings, and quality work, it might be difficult to schedule him on short notice, but if you book far in advance, his work is worth the wait.

Dave came on time. Did a thorough job making sure he wasn't going to caulk a shower that was leaking from some where else. He caultked the shower. It doesn't leak now. He also cleaned out the sink p-trap and adjusted the stopper because it was draining slowly. He looked at some other jobs and will send us an estimate. I'm happy with the service.
