We had a vintage stove restored in California and shipped up, but the thermostat on one of the ovens was hugely off and couldn't be adjusted, and the restorer forgot our request for an accessible shut off valve (the stove weights a ton, and once it's wedged into cabinetry after we remodel, pulling it out to shut off the gas would be a nightmare). I ordered a rebuilt thermostat and contacted Dave's to install it and the shut-off valve. Dave himself came out to do the work. He called ahead, arrived promptly, clearly knew what he was doing, and he got the job done quickly, efficiently, and for what I thought was a very reasonable price. Briefly chatting about awesome old stoves was just a bonus.

It went great. I had sent an email yesterday afternoon detailing the problem and asking if it was fixable. He called late this morning, said it was probably fixable. Said he would arrive between 1 and 3, called around 2 to advise he was running late, arrived at 3, finished the job (including straightening out the upper element that had been hanging), and was done by 3:20.

Very unresponsive. The fix did not work and it took weeks of phone calls to get him back. Then the same thing happened again - fix did not work, three weeks of phone calls and messages with zero response. It took about three months to finally get a working dishwasher.

He had to order the part to fix my freezer. There was miscommunication from the service provider about the part arriving, had to call to see when the part could be replaced, employee called back to schedule appointment. He was very professional and I was very pleased with service.

I think Dave's Appliance Rebuild are pretty up front about what they need to do. They are a good service, they did what they said they were going to do, and they called back as expected.

Scheduled my appointment for a Thursday morning. Dave called ahead to tell me he was on his way. Very efficient and friendly as he did his work. Cleaned up when he was done. I'm happy with the work, and will call him again for appliance service in my home.

I called Dave's on a Monday and they made the call at my house on Tuesday afternoon. The repairman arrived between the hours indicated by the guy on the phone. The guy who took my call was really nice and the guy who came to look at the dishwasher was low-key and offered great advice. The dishwasher needed $400 of repairs but the guy told me that he'd suggest purchasing a new one instead. I really appreciated his integrity and honesty. The 40 minute visit cost $53. I thought that was amazingly fair.

Gave a good assessment of whether to repair or replace. In the past work on refrigerator, recommended a future replacement but fixed it to the point where it was functional. In this case, he repaired washer.

IN BOTH CASES THE PERSON TAKING MY ORDER ON THE PHONE AND THE TECHNICIAN WERE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY. THE RESPONSE TIME WAS GOOD, TOO, WITHIN 24 HOURS. I LIKE THIS OUTFIT.

THESE GUYS KNOW OLD APPLIANCES! THEY CAN ADVISE WHETHER TO FIX OR DISCARD OLD APPLIANCES, AND ARE QUITE RESOURCEFUL ABOUT GETTING NEW OR GOOD USED REPLACEMENT PARTS. THEY ALSO HAUL AWAY OLD APPLIANCES AND SELL USED AND REFURBISHED APPLIANCES. VERY RELIABLE. WE'VE USED THEM SEVERAL TIMES. SHOP IS NOT ALWAYS RELIABLE ABOUT GETTING MESSAGES TO THE RIGHT PERSON. SOMETIMES NEED TO PHONE A REMINDER IF CALL BACK NECESSARY.
