He was very nice and explained the process very thoroughly. He gave me options during the process to select what I wanted him to do. He told me the price of each selection I made. The staff was very friendly. It was a short visit, but I would recommend them. He got it back when he said he would.

We took four sentimentally important rings (wedding ring and family heirlooms) to Crane Jewelers for an estimate of the cost of re-sizing and repairing them. We worked with Kevin Crane, who was exceedingly knowledgeable and did a great job of making his recommendations clear and understandable. There were a few rather tricky things that needed to be done. For one, my husband's wedding ring (which consists of three separate rings welded together) needed to be sized up, and there was a possibility that some of the engraving would be lost in the process and need to be re-engraved. They were able, however, to avoid damage to the engraving and the ring turned out perfectly! Also, a ring which had belonged to his grandfather was worn so thin, we were afraid it would break - but they were able to add gold and make it look as good as new. We had some trepidation about attempting to repair these rings, but had great confidence in Kevin, and were certainly not disappointed!

If ever you find yourself intimidated by the thought of walking into a 'jewelry store' and not being sure about quality or are nervous about being 'strong-armed' by staff, I strongly suggest that you stop by Crane Jewelers for a completely different and refreshing experience. It was my first time experiencing a 'jewelry visit'. I was having a ring designed for me. When I entered Crane Jewelers I was surprised to find that it is much more of a 'boutique experience' than what I have previously experienced at other local jewelers. It's an intimate shop that lends itself to sitting with Mr. Crane and discussing the design process in a comfortable setting. The whole process was exciting and educating. I feel as though I came away from the experience with a relationship with a personal jeweler. He and his staff are a fabulous resource for jewelry services that everyone should have: cleaning, re-stringing and sizing. Because of my experience, I have recommended him to friends & coworkers.
