Corvid General Contractors

We had an excellent experience with Corvid. We used them for a kitchen, basement, and HVAC renovation. From the beginning to the end of the project, we appreciated the transparency and attention to detail that we received. The communication at every step of the way was excellent, and every time we had a question it was quickly answered. The project was finished on time, and the craftsmanship far exceeded our expectations. Our project manager (Christopher) was phenomenal, and he was always available to go over the fine details of our project with us. Our lead carpenter (Joel) was great to work with, and we very much appreciated his attention to detail. We would highly recommend Corvid, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for our future renovation needs.

Right up front, I will say that they do good work. As long as it doesn’t matter if and when they complete that work. And that’s asking a lot of Corvid. We hired Corvid for a DADU extension to our Queen Anne house. Paid the down payment in October of 2019 with the promise from them of a 16 week completion. Even with an unfortunate 2 month delay due to Covid, it was over *70 weeks* later before the project was completed! Almost 5 times over the promised completion date. All with nothing but excuses about how hard everything was on *them* and not a single apology or offer for compensation for the lost time. All for the low, low price of $795/sq. ft. I am more than willing to discuss in great detail about Corvid's "sliding calendar" that changed on a daily basis when they didn't feel like showing up. Not to mention the projects they cancelled because they decided it was not something they wanted to do. Whatever you do, talk to people who have actually engaged them before you hire...they sound great to start, but they turn out to be like every other shady contractor.
