He identified the issue as a missing wax seal and replaced it. I don't know whether he tested it after fixing (my wife wasn't watching him), but the next time the toilet was used (a few days later) it still poured water when flushed. A friend looked at it, replaced rusted tank screws and intake valve, and that actually fixed the issue.

Plumber showed up early and was done before he was due to arrive! He was friendly and professional. Quality work and they give a warranty, which we needed due to this being a condo with old pipes. I'd have said C (Fair) on price because I feel they are in-line with other plumbers who are generally expensive across the board, but bumped them up to B because this is my 70 yr old mother's residence and they gave her a senior discount.

Very stressful. I have no idea if the actual plumbing job was well done, but everything else was a problem. Which was a surprise given the reviews here and also the recommendation of a friend.
They missed part of what needed to be done when they bid the job. They didn't charge us for the extra part given all that followed, so that was decent of them.
It was supposed to be a 1-day job on a Monday. He called me at work around 4 and said he didn't finish, but couldn't come back until Thursday.
When I got home, there was plaster dust EVERYwhere on the first floor and up the stairs (he had to cut out the plaster in the DR ceiling to get to the pipes), gunk in the sinks, what a mess. I called fairly hysterical, and they boss offered to send someone out the next afternoon, but I didn't want to track it any further so I spent hours cleaning up that night. I guess he didn't drape or seal the area before he cut. When he came back on Thursday, he didn't seem to think he'd done anything wrong! He did do a better job cleaning then, but still, I'd hate to see his house if he thinks that is clean.
Also the hole he cut was very irregular and a pain to patch.
He may be a good plumber (I don't know) but he's a terrible cutter and cleaner. I will never use this company again.

"All attempts to protect dust from escaping were put into place, Lathe and Plaster is famous for this and is hard to cut through, our Technicians make every attempt to clean up the job sight, but please note, our Techs are not house cleaners by profession, also please note that pipes are concealed behind walls, and the additional work seen once wall was opened was not charged to the customer and was completed at our own company expense as courtesy to the customer, other companies would have created a change order for additional cost to the home owners expense quite a harsh rating considering the circumstances."

Work was performed by Brent who was very personable and skilled at his craft. My only lower grades were due to the lack of a written detailed proposal prior to the job. Brent explained that his father, the owner, did not have computer or email capabilities. I thought that the job included the hot and cold stop valves which Brent said had to be installed after the wall board was installed. Without a detailed proposal, I was unable to hold him to this job detail.

I woke up that morning to the sound of rushing water where there shouldn't have been... The bathroom was flooding from some break under the sink. I shut off the main house water valve, and called Collier. Collier came out as promised, about three hours later (soonest available, and actually a little sooner than estimated). He found the broken line, replaced it, and the other one on the same sink. Took slightly longer as he had to go get parts for my unusual sized fittings. He also replaced the cartridges/gaskets (whatever you call them) in both that faucet and the one for the bathtub/shower. He was cheerful, helpful, and worked efficiently to do the needed repairs. Also tightened a loose kitchen faucet attachment at no extra charge. It all went just as it should have, no surprises, and good service. Will use again (though I hope I don't need them again soon...)

collier plumbers had done work for my mother in the past so i knew they were good.
I was happy with the work they did. and would call them again.
Wish i had thought of them through the years when i had bad experiences with another company.
The work was done in a prompt amount of time.
It was a pleasure to visit with the son of the young man that had been a neighbor and friend to my mother
so many years ago.

We were extremely satisfied with the plumbing results. Brent, of Collier Plumbing, arrived exactly at the time he scheduled with us. Immediately, he began a diagnosis of the shower and bath faucet low water flow. Brent dismantled the plumbing fixture, removed the faulty cartridge on tub/shower valve which needed to be replaced. He had to leave the house to purchase a new cartridge for the faucet. When he returned he noticed a slight blockage deeper in the pipe and proceeded to work on removal of that by backwashing the debris from the valve casting. Once that was clear, Brent placed the new cartridge in the pipe and tested the water flow. Miraculous!!!!!!! Now we have excellent water pressure for showering!
Brent worked efficiently on the problem and displayed good knowledge of what was needed for resolution of the problem.
He was personable and professional in his demeanor. Brent wasted no time getting to work and stayed with the job until completion of task. Thank you, Brent, for a fine job. Thank you, Collier Plumbing, for once again coming to our rescue quickly and efficiently.

I was pleased with the work. I felt like he did a good job. He even went under the house to try and solve the problem. He was able to find the problem and fixed it. He also found something else in the process that he was able to fix. He was quick and conscience of not wasting time as he does charge by the hour. He was friendly and knowledgeable.

Price was inline with other bids for the job but still seemed like a lot for the task, but such is plumbing. Brent was friendly, fast, and efficient. Couldn't wish for a nicer guy. Very pleased and will use their services in the future.

Brent, Mike's son, handled the majority of the work, and was very responsive, professional, friendly and mindful of the fact that we had a newborn, keeping the noise and mess to a minimum. Even though this was a "trenchless" installation, the city provided inaccurate information regarding water line locations, so he and his helper ended up having to hand dig and re-route a good portion of the new line without complaint. When the work was done, Mike sat down with me to review all costs, complete the city rebate form, and answer any remaining questions. He also pointed out that the work is warrantied, and told me not to hesitate to call if I had any questions or concerns, All in all, it was a great experience.
