+ -1 moreThe wall exhaust fan (a 25-year-old Vent-Axia) in my folks' sunroom burned out. I pulled the fan and saw a Coast Products sticker on the housing. I was pleased to discover they were still in business under the same name and at the same location. They told me that drop-in replacements for my model hadn't been available for years. Moreover, newer models of similar quality would not only have been quite expensive (shy of $1000) but would have required tearing the old housing out of the wall and installing new wiring (with five wires) between the fan and the controller. Instead, they said they could refurbish the old fan for a little over $100.00. I brought the fan to them early Monday afternoon and got a call around 4:30 that same day saying the fan was ready and that the total charge was $110.00. When I picked up the fan, it was clean, refurbished, and came with a maintenance instruction sheet. They said they can't "always" do half-day turnarounds, but I couldn't be more pleased!
Description of Work: Coast Products cleaned, repaired, and refurbished a burned-out Vent-Axia wall exhaust fan that had been sourced from them 25 years earlier. (The fan was supposed to have been lubricated once a year but probably never was, since whoever installed it caulked it permanently in place, making it impossible to take out and service without damaging the wall.)
