About us

Chuck Olson's father owned a small used car lot in Portland Oregon after a career as a logger. After graduating from the University of Oregon and a hitch in the United States Army Chuck worked on a "temporary" basis for his dad, who owned a small used car lot. Chuck found the car business to his liking and decided it would be a great way to feed his growing family. Chuck eventually bought a Rambler Dealership in the Portland area. Sensing opportunity in the Seattle area, in 1964 Chuck built Olson Oldsmobile at 175th & Aurora Avenue in unincorporated North King County. Back in those days there was not much in the area except Parkers Road house and trees. The local Chevrolet franchise owned by Bill Blume was available for sale in 1968. Chuck liked the volume potential of Chevrolet and bought the franchise. Chuck Olson's is family owned and operated. We pride ourselves on living in the area we do business in and being a part of the community. We participate in supporting many local schools, charities and social outreach programs. We believe in long-term business relationships with our customers. We strive to do business in a ethical, positive manner that encourages repeat customers.

In my opinion, do not trust this repair facility at all! Go elsewhere. They recently charged me $145.00 to replace a light bulb. I took the vehicle in for repairs and noticed the daytime running light was out. I have personally replaced this exact bulb on the other side. It took less than 10 minutes. When I confronted the service employee, Daniels, and then the service manager, James, they tried to convince me that the front bumper needed removal in order to change the bulb. Complete nonsense! Look on Youtube for several videos showing the bulb being replaced in less than 10 minutes. When I got home, I inspected the bumper bolts and plastic retainers and sure enough they hadn't been removed. In my phone call with James this morning, he admitted they didn't remove the bumper as they had said yesterday and offered to refund the money. James further said that they can charge whatever the Mitchell estimating guide says even if they don't actually do the work. They failed to keep parts when requested to do so. I am now starting to suspect that some of the work was not actually required. They also tried to say the oil, air filters, etc needed to be changed because the oil and filters were dirty. I have the receipt showing this work was done two months ago (2000 miles ago) by another shop! The oil is not dirty nor is the air filter. They replaced the tie rod ends (and have disposed of the parts) on the Suburban with 60k miles. Everything I now read online indicates that these should last at least 100k miles if not longer. Bottom line is they got caught. And when caught, they offered to refund. How many other people have they done this to and gotten away with it? Avoid this facility at all costs! They have zero integrity or honesty.

Their pricing is pretty standard for an oil change. I have received excellent service from them over the years. They are very responsive.

They were the usual car sales people; it's a personal thing I guess I do not like to deal with car salesmen.

I wasn’t pleased with them at all. They did a misdiagnosis and wanted to charge me. I had it repaired for a fraction of what they claimed it would be. They charged $100 for the diagnosis and quoted about $4500 for the repair. I got the issue repaired for about $1500. I will not use them again in the future.

The most recent repair to my 2004 truck was after the service engine light came on. Chuck Olson promptly contacted me after I drop off the truck on the date of my appointment. They explained the problem, provided a quote, and finished the repair on time and within the estimate. I've had other regular maintenance service done and they always explain what's needed, but don't try to sell extra services that are not. Very professional folks to deal with.

Greg Olson and his team are the BEST! They assured me that they could fix the transmission on our 2001 Toyota mini-van and had it done in a week. The actual amount paid was less than the estimate and the work was done earlier. We highly recommend them.

They were so good and thorough with me. They were always available to answer questions for me too. They found me a red car with a sunroof just like I wanted. I felt I was treated like a queen. They are a great company to buy from.

I can tell you that they do great work. They re not the most inexpensive, but they do great quality work. They are very informative and helpful during the process. They are usually finished when they plan to be.

So far they have done very good work. They have the car ready for me on time and they are always polite and professional. My only complaint is that they are a little on the high side on price but I have fewer problems with them.
