Excellent service - our tech Devin R. out of the Kent location did a fantastic job on a thorough inspection/cleaning of our gas fireplace. Works like new now & we could not be happier! Highly recommend and we will be repeat customers for servicing.

HORRIBLE COMPANY, horrible experience! Stay away from this company! Please read my story below to understand the level of service you should expect from Chimcare. You do not want to be stuck in my position. After paying our downpayment for repairs on our chimney (replacing an old chimney cap, chimney saver, and crown coat), Chimcare was prompt to take half of the final charge for the service. They told us they would schedule our service within 7 days. THEY NEVER SCHEDULED OUR SERVICE! We tried calling the company to get the service scheduled -- more than 10 times. The calls always went to voicemail. NO ONE PICKED UP! Two weeks later, we received an email out of the blue that a technician was on their way to complete the service. Of course we were not home. The above isn't even the worst part. The technician showed up without the chimney cap for replacement, so we told he he should probably get that part before repairing the chimney. He came back a week later to service the chimney and after I came out I pointed out that he didn't replace the rusted chimney cap plate. He tried to convince me that the rusted chimney cap plate was fine. I insisted he do the job right. He then confessed that the part he had was the wrong size and that he needed to order a new one. After all this, he came back again, but he brought what looked like a bent piece of sheet metal as the chimney cap replacement. Chimcare customer service agreed that this looked "disgusting". We finally had chimcare out for the FOURTH time to get this thing right. And the chimney cap they ended up installing wasn't even the right size in the end (see pic). And after all this, we still can't get in touch with their billing department because they invoiced us for the incorrect amount. AND, after emailing them to correct the amount with no response, they CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD WITHOUT SIGNED CONSENT. Do yourself a favor, avoid this company. Unless of course you'd like my experience or other 1 star reviews here.

Excellent. While there was a long wait to get the estimate, it was well worth it. Sean was very professional and the work went without a hitch. Couteous, tidy, did an excellent job. Provided a very clear estimate with pricing and brought extra material just in case needed. Price was fair. Would highly recommend.

Great. The worker came right on time. He examined the damper, determined that a complete replacement wasn't necessary, and attached a bracket to the damper to prevent it from getting stuck in the open position. We tried it out last night, and it worked beautifully.

This week I witnessed art in action, men in motion and my great pleasure of a job well done. Kudos to the talented mason, Nathan McCauley, and his support team, Sebastian Delvo and Ethan. Originally, I was looking for a chimney repair. To my delight, what I got was a restoration with much needed improvements. I would hire this dream team in a second. My yard was left in better condition than when they arrived. Thank you Chimcare for hiring talented people, with extraordinary work ethics and a pleasure to be around. Oh, and a big thanks to Tauna in the office.

Superior service. We are getting ready to list our home and needed to have 2 fire box bricks replaced; before our upcoming pre inspection. It was a joy to have Nathan come out and replace the missing bricks. Years of experience under his belt. As a picky DYI homeowner located in Everett, WA I have used many contractors Through out the years. I highly recommend asking for “Nathan” Out of the Renton office when scheduling your Chimcare needs. it will be done right.

We had our chimney (with two flues) inspected earlier this year by Andrew Wilt and he had recommended a number of maintenance items, including repairing a cracked crown, parging one of our flues, and applying a water repellant to the outside of our chimney bricks. Today Geoff came out and did these repairs. Everything got done, including applying two coats of water repellent. The crown coat looks great and will extend the life of the crown. He was able to get everything done in under six hours, finishing about an hour before it started raining. He had to remove the chimney caps I had added after Andrew's inspection, and put them back exactly as I had them. No plants were damaged; no trash was left on our property. He took time to discuss the job, before and after, and answered all my questions. Both he and Andrew were thorough and pleasant to work with. Andrew's inspection cost $137. Geoff's work cost $1374, with an Angies List discount.

These folks are good. They are responsive, flexible and their analysis proved accurate through multiple bids that I got for this job given its size. They got the job done when they said they would and at the cost they estimated and they avoided any collateral damage as they did their work and cleaned up the site well afterwards. They use modern communication channels (texting, email) very well. All-in-all, as good an experience as I could have asked for.

I was very pleased with the work and professionalism of the estimator and the repair crew. They replaced the chimney cap, reset the fireplace flue, then pressure washed and sealed the chimney.

My main disappointment was on price not the technician. We thought the chimney needs to be swept and cleaned and so we chose Chimcare who can take care of both at the same time and such that the quoted price was twice of other places that only service fireplace. Then when the technician came over, my husband was told that the chimney does not need special sweep or care because we use gas, so all the services were performed against the fireplace (this part of the service was great by itself) only. The invoice also specifically called out that the chimney part is not applicable. I called later on checking in why we had to pay full prices for only servicing fireplace. I was then told that the technician did take pictures and serviced fireplace and the price is the same even if we just have gas fireplace. If I was warned at the quoting time that gas fireplace did not need maintenance/swept, or would technician/support take care of the clients who are not familiar with the fireplace/chimney setup, then I would have the right information or right help to pay the right place. I would not choose this company again and would warn new home owners who are not familiar with fireplace/chimney etc to be extra careful.

Easy to schedule, on time, neat, thorough, very personable.

Technician was extremely thorough and helpful. He took time to make sure all parts of the gas insert were in good working order after several years of no cleaning. Feel great about the condition of the unit and confident in its working order.

Everything went well. Andrew, the Chimcare professional who came out, was great. He inspected my chimney. He showed me pictures of the chimney problem areas and explained how the moisture got into the chimney. He told me I didn't need a sweep. To eliminate the moisture problem he suggested I get some needed repairs, have chimney caps installed, and have water repellent applied. After receiving an estimate for the needed work I had the job scheduled.

Great! Tech was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable! As a bonus, the tech was friendly and willing to answer related questions, the van was squeaky clean and organized, the whole experience was positive. Will definitely hire again for future work.

Chimcare demolished old chimney, rebuilt new chimney, rebuilt crown, and replaced flashing. Communication was great, crew was punctual and friendly, new chimney looks really sharp.
