Cascade Painting

Cascade Painting is the sole proprietorship of journeyman painter Don McDougall. Don does both interior and exterior painting. We first hired him a few years ago to do some interior painting on the advice of an interior designer who gave him a glowing recommendation. He did a fabulous job on a couple of rooms in our house where we had decided to change the color scheme. He did exactly what we asked and the job was of the highest quality. This winter, we decided it was time to paint the exterior of the house. Remembering what a good job he'd done on the interior we called Don. He remembered us and said he'd be delighted to do the exterior. He came over the next weekend and then a few days later gave us a written estimate. We told him we wanted to wait till July when the weather is nice, and Don said he'd put us down on his calendar. RIght on time, in early July, he called to arrange a start time. He brought by his ladders and tools on one day, and started the next. He worked by himself, and sometimes with a helper until the job was totally complete. He was extremely neat, spilling not a drop of paint anywhere that I could see. Each evening he cleaned up and put his ladders and tools neatly in a covered spot under our deck. On completion, the job was immaculate. He prepped all the surfaces carefully. And when finished the painted surfaces were even and smooth. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. He charged us exactly what his estimate had said. His prices are not bargain basement, but they are not exorbitant. If you want the cheapest painter, you might want to go elsewhere. But if you want great quality and great value, I don't know where you'll find better. We're extremely satisfied and will employ his services any time we need painting work. .
