The appointment was between 3-5 pm. I requested a call around 2 pm to see if the technician was running late or on time, so I could leave work to meet him. I didn't receive a call. I called the office and got a man's voice message, so I left a message. I never received a call back. I left work at 5 pm and called home around 5:20 to see if my Mom had heard anything. The technician had just showed up. I arrived 15 minutes later, at which point he had almost completed the cleaning and inspection. I was unimpressed with not being called around 2 pm as promised. Then to have him arrive later than the appointment without a call was very unprofessional. He said the furnace was in good shape for its age. We talked about filters, furnace replacements, etc. He did not pressure me in any way, but the lack of calling was a big negative for me. I didn't want my 80-year-old Mom here alone to handle this appointment. Yet, that's exactly what happened.
