"We actually worked for the neighbor, not Member, at a different address than listed above. They had a shared driveway with a sewer line running down the length of the driveway. Part of the driveway came out as the result of a contaminated soil cleanup via insurance company (which is why it was a lengthy job, when you work w/insurance you have to get approval for everything). Because the shared sewer line was in the way of the excavation we had to remove a section of that sewer line. That section of sewer was covered and paid for by the insurance company. Both Member and the neighbor we worked for decided they wanted a new driveway and a new sewer line run the entire length (this was way beyond our original scope). The extra cost for a new driveway and new sewer line (not covered by insurance because it was not in our dig area) was $5,500.58. Total cost to Member and neighbor was $3,000 that they split 50/50. This was agreed upon by both before we started the work. A subcontractor was hired to do both the new driveway & new (not covered by insurance) sewer line. The materials alone (not including labor), was $3,000.58. We covered the labor which was another $2,500 out of our pocket."
