It turned out fine but I found somebody else so I would not use them again.

I've been with Budd for several years now, and each visit is a pleasure. For routine maintenance like this, they're usually able to fit me in same-day, and have the work done by the end of the day. This visit was no different. They're always very professional, eager to help, and willing to provide as much detail into what's going on as possible, which I really appreciate. I've never felt their prices to be overly high, and in fact they usually work to ensure cost is minimal while still doing what's needed.

They test drove the car and couldn't find anything wrong with it. They did not charge me a penny.

Part of my exhaust rusted out - the part containing the catalytic converter. The shop I normally use told me they don't do custom exhaust work (e.g. welding it back in place) and a new replacement would be about $1,000! They recommended I check out a specialty muffler shop so I searched for one on Angie's list and came across Budd and Co.

I dropped by on a Friday morning without an appointment and they didn't have a technician available to look at it so I went to run an errand and came back about 1.5 hours later. I thought they would just look at it and I'd need to bring it back with an appointment time but the mechanic (George) said he could do it right away and it would only take about 20 mins. He did it quickly and even called me out to show me what he had done wile the car was still lifted. It took 30 mins and cost $68!!

Now the car has more power, is quieter and the check engine light doesn't go on anymore. It's like a having a new car! Budd and Co. is fantastic! If you need any exhaust/muffler work done, see George, he's a magician!

I first went to Budd and Co over 20 years ago. For years they kept my Mazda GLC running. Mike would work with me about what needed to be done, what could wait and how to do it most economically. My next car was a Saturn completely under warranty so it was several years before I went back. Mike remembered me and my GLC. The quality work, great communication and fairness continue. Most recently I took my Vibe in to Budd and Co with a water leak from an unknown source. They went over every seal and when they couldn't find the source, gave me a great referral and did not charge me a cent for several hours work. The one problem is that they are always so busy that you usually have to wait at least a couple of days to get your car in and, for me, at least, I wish they were open a little later. Partly because of that, I tried the dealer for my last tune-up -- I won't do that again.

I had a loose muffler on my 1991 Saab 900. The Saab specialist quoted me $450 for a replacement, and Budd did it for considerably less. They had to order the part, but got it in very quickly, notified me, and the muffler was replaced in just a few days.

A good experience overall. Budd and Co. was friendly and professional. When I first called, they asked me to hold and came back within a minute asking if they could return my call. They took down my information and got back to me within 30 minutes. They offered to have me come in anytime the next day for an estimate. When I dropped the car off, they said that they'd need it for an hour and when I came back one hour later, they were just finishing up the estimate on the computer. Based on another estimate I got for the same work I'd say that their pricing is fair and in line with the other shops I visited that also have good Angie's list ratings. Budd and Co. handled their interaction with me well and left a good impression. They were friendly, helpful, made several commitments to me and kept them each time.

This is my second time going to budd and company. They replaced my muffler and tail pipe which was dragging on the ground. I first went to Midas mufflers because I thought it would be cheaper, since they only deal in mufflers, but Midas told me there was a huge problem and quoted me over $600.00 for the repair. Budd and Co. replaced the muffler and tailpipe for $180.00 (including tax). Budd and Co. always been very professional and I've been very happy with their work.

It went fine. They were able to still get it returned to me the same day.

I have always been satisfied with their service, and feel that they always offer a fair price. There have been times when I've taken my car there, and it seems like they put off the repairs until the end of the day, at which point, I'm not sure if I'll get my car back on time. However, they always end up finishing it within the time promised.

Extremely professional and friendly. Gave me some good advice/options, and did not try to sell me into a fix.

Bud's Auto does great work. They report back before the work if it is going to be too expensive. They treat me with respect. They do quality work for a very fair price and also give a discount for my auto club membership. They do not try to take advantage of the fact that I do not know very much about the inner workings of automobiles. The work is done quickly and with a straightforward approach by the employees. I would recommend their service to anyone needing auto servicing.
