They came to my door and offered discount service for $99 a month. They told me that 4 of my neighbors had switched to their service. I found out later they had not switched and were lying. A couple months after we didn't have service for a week and a half because of a snow storm. They said they would credit that week back to me and never did. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and they told me I needed to pay my bill in full before they would credit me that week on my bill. They eventually disconnected my service. I was disconnected in 2009. They continued to bill me $109 monthly for service I was not receiving. Everytime I tried to call they would never let me talk to a supervisor and said they were all in meetings. It was impossible to get anything resolved with them. I paid them $1600 and returned the cable box back to them. They refused to take my cable box back. They were charging me over $355 for the box that I tried to return. They sent someone out to get the cable box and I got a receipt for it and now they have no record of them picking up the box. They want me to send them the receipt they gave me. They turned me into collections and everytime I try to resolve it with them they will not help me and seem to enjoy upsetting people like myself. They hung up on me twice.

The guy was really nice.
Description of Work: They replaced the DVR. They brought out an ethernet cable to hook up internet for the computer.

We began using Broadstripe in 2008. We are still using their service, reluctantly. It is terrible for our small home-business and it is certainly dangerous since we cannot call emergency services if needed. I am not alone. A community coalition called Upping Technology for Underserved Neighbors (UPTUN) has been formed with the City of Seattle to help combat the poor service of Broadstripe. If people have other options, I suggest they try them!
Description of Work: I moved to a neighborhood that does not have access to providers other than Broadstripe. I use to use Qwest and Comcast and had good services and found their products to work well. We now have internet, phone and cable through Broadstripe. I would choose any other provider if I could. The service goes out often and not just in poor weather. When I call for assistance, and am able to speak to their customer service reps in person, they are very kind and helpful. Yet twice, I have taken off of work, waiting for a technician to arrive for a scheduled appointment (the can only provide a four hour window), they have not shown up. When I called to complain they offered to reschedule - again providing a four hour window during the work-week.

Their internal communication was bad and I did not value for my money. I was not satisfied with their service.
