Sewer Cleaning
Service person was very polite and knew well-enough the service that he needed to perform. Work was done during period of severe winter storms with snow/ice interference. Although had to reschedule twice because their trucks could not get out, they tried very hard to accomodate and complete service.

Sewer Cleaning
Thomas arrived on time, explained how they work, how they charge and then got to work. Because the blockage was stubborn, he had to try several different blades but finally cleared the lines and CLEANED UP before he left.

Sewer Cleaning
Oates came out when scheduled and cleaned out our sewer lines. They were professional and courteous. They didn't want to ruin our carpets downstairs and were concerned about that, so next time we will get some heavy duty plastic or something else to put down. They cleaned the line we thought needed it most and then we had them clean another line since they were there already and the additional cost was minimal. Turned out this other line needed it more than the primary line as it had far more roots in it.

A knowledgeable, professional analyzed a slow flushing toilet, eliminated sewer as a possible problem. He augured the toilet in place. While the performance was not much improved, we discovered part of the problem was thick toilet paper and a build up of scale inside the toilet itself. A new toilet, especially one with a higher flush rate was recommended. The service call was worth it just to confirm what was causing the slow flush problem.

Thomas came & assessed the situation & had to remove the basement toilet because we don't have an adequate clean-out access. Thomas was skilled, competent, efficient, professional & polite. It was a great relief that no further work was necessary.

We decided to do this work as preventive care on the house. It's cheaper to do it on our schedule than to make an emergency call when things start backing up. They spent about an hour cleaning out roots from our sewer line, which runs underneath a large laurel hedge. The work was completed on time. They did leave a tupper ware tub and some gloves behind. They never came and picked them up after I called to let them know. So, the work was great, but the cleanup was less than perfect.

The employee showed up early, and worked very hard to clear our drain. This included moving a woodpile and digging down a few inches to find the outlet. He worked quickly, did more than we expected and cleaned up after himself. We were impressed with his persistence and professionalism.

I awoke to a flooded basement, and the smell told me what it was. The first responder sent a scope with a camera through the pipe at the point where it entered my house and found a large break in the sewer line 7" down in the middle of the front yard. I got 3 bids and accepted the middle one. The main reason was I became comfortable with the concise explanation of the mechanics of the problem, the solution and the potential for unknowns and their solutions. They were local (Ballard) and they could start the next day. The crew was prompt, professional, and very hard working. They thought on their feet when another problem was discovered and offered a solution that was the least invasive and least expensive. They were great.

It went quite well, in fact, it could have not gone better. Richard told me in advance what he planned to do, and what the cost would be. He then did what he told me he was going to do and charged me what he told me he would charge me. Honest pay for honest work. The only downside is that the appointment was set between 12-2 and they did not arrive until 3:30. However, I was in touch with the company and they assured me that they were on the way. Once on the job, he was not rushed, but thorough.

This happened on a weekend which is the reason for the higher cost. The charge would be a lot less if it was during normal operating hours. Bob told me on the phone that someone will be there in half an hour. As promised, Chuck came within half an hour. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He took care of everything within an hour. I highly recommend Bob Oates Sewer & Rooter.

They did such a tidy job. The work was great. They were extremely nice people to work with. They were very nice and concerned about my questions. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! He also does sewer services, but I didn?t need it. He also did some drain cleaning. He?s really, really great. He?s one of the best plumbers I?ve dealt with.
