 + -1 moreI had to readjust minorly the chain and the arm in the toilet tank. The "tinkling" leaking sound started back up to a much lesser degree. I was able to adjust the hook on the arm, that has permanently fixed the problem.

 + -1 moreFor the bath remodel we wanted good quality, well designed products. And we wanted things modern and not looking like generic products as seen in Big Box home improvement stores. Best Plumbing has an array of good stuff - and a very knowledgable staff to help with the details. We bought a Watermark shower assembly and a Tuff Form shower pan and install kit (from the UK) which is flush to the floor, requiring no sill to step over. The salesperson we were working with could see we weren't finding what we wanted in countertops - so he showed us a small box of samples from a local business which specializes in cast concrete counters. We contacted this person - and had a custom top made and it is totally awesome! If it hadn't been for Best Plumbing we would have never known about VC Studio Inc.in Puyallup WA.
Description of Work: We needed various things for a bath remodel. Best Plumbing provided excellent information on fixtures, shower glass, countertop. We then purchases these items from them.

 + -1 moreExtremely expensive service provider. The job had taken only 50 minutes to be done. The paid cost of $312.39, does not include the faucet price. An acceptable on the market, plumber high edge rate is about $150 for the first hour and then $110 - $120 for the next one. This job requires very little skill other then wrenching the old faucet off and the new one on, and the cost of it is unreasonably high.

 + -1 moreWe had discovered a leak in our InstaHot. The plastic hose between the heating tank and the faucet was spraying water when it was in use. The installation is extremely cramped so it was hard to see what was happening. The repair technician appeared promptly, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it (by cutting off the piece of tubing with the leak. He worked cleanly and efficiently. We have had no issues since.

Description of Work: The Shower head/Handheld unit was not allowing full water volume thru shower. The plumber discovered an alternative way to work the shower by using existing valves. The toilet was leaking due to fault in siphon valve in the tank. The plumber replaced valve and flush handle. No more leaking.

 + -1 moreI wanted to replace my kitchen faucet as it was a bit leaky (though mainly just terrible looking). I ended up picking up my own faucet from Amazon. Called Best Plumbing, and they got someone out right away. Unfortunately the first attempt didn't work out so well as the hole in counter was too big for my new faucet. They reduced the price of that call to around $100 since nothing really got done. I found a nice washer that acted as a platform for my new faucet so it would fit and called them back. They were back the next day and got everything installed without any issue.

 + 0 moreIt went very well overall. Randy showed up in the earlier part of the time window the scheduler gave me. He listened to my description of the problem and some of the other plumbing issues with the house that may have been related. We simulated the problem by filling and draining the tub. He suggested some probable reasons and possible solutions for the problem, and then suggested trying the lowest cost potential solution--snaking the line from the sink to the clean-out. I decided to go ahead with that. Randy power snaked the line, tested it by filling and draining the upstairs tub twice, and found that it had solved the problem. He suggested using an enzyme solution on the lines regularly to keep the build-up along the sides of the pipe down. My "Big Deal" coupon didn't cover the cost of the snaking so I had to pay an additional $140. Overall, a very good experience.
Description of Work: The job was part of a "Big Deal" offer I purchased ($125 of plumbing services for $50). I called Best Plumbing to deal with a sink overflow caused by the upstairs tub draining. The plumber power snaked the line from the sink to the clean-out that the tub drained into.

 + -1 moreI purchased this deal through Angie's List so I could get a toilet installed in the guest room. There was a toilet there before so I purchased one that had all the same dimensions and color of the old one (this toilet took about 10 weeks to deliver to my house). It is a complicated job with a rear draining toilet installed on a concrete floor, so I made sure to request an experienced plumber and thoroughly explained the complexity of the job over the phone (I also explained that I did not really care about the cost or how long it would take to get that plumber out to the house). When the plumber arrived he was unaware of the job and subsequently refused to do the job stating it was impossible and no one could do the job. So he left and wasted my $50.00 I spent on this deal and my time away from work that day. A month later I called Fox Plumbing and while feeling a bit discouraged about the job I repeated the same drill of explaining myself over the phone and asking the the most experienced plumber to come out to the house. This time much to my surprise the plumber came out fully aware and equipped to do the job right there. Now thanks to Fox Plumbing, and not to Best Plumbing I have a fully functional bathroom in the guest room. I rate the company poorly because of the apparent lack of coordination between their office and plumbers as well as the attitude and work ethic of the plumbers.

 + -1 moreHow did the work go overall? Well, I gotta tell people to beware of these larger plumbing companies who do work "by the job." If you have an easy job such as mine (complete work in less than 20 minutes) it gets old to face a charge of over $200. The charge was not based on "time on the job" ... and the plumber actually made FOUR trips to his truck: first, to look at the job; second to get his tools; third to go get another wrench; fourth to get his calculator, which he did not have in his truck. I am FLABBERGASTED at today's prices; I have used Best Plumbing in the past when it was billed as a "family company" and an easy, quick job did not have a price tag of one-quarter my monthly income (for 20 minutes easy work). Thankfully (?) I had an Angie's List Big Deal, but still I had to pay in excess of $100 along with my $50 for $129 Big Deal. For a 20 minute job (I timed from arrival until the job was completed). GADS is all I can say.
Description of Work: I needed a (new 2 yrs ago) bathroom sink drain snaked and the p-trap behind the pedestal sink tightened. This work was completed satisfactorily.

 + -1 morePlumber arrived on time and explained what he was going to do. This included cutting some of the bottom of the vanity in order to allow the drain and p-trap to have the required space. He took the time to make sure I understand why the vanity needed to be cut.
Description of Work: Plumber installed faucets and drain for a new vanity we had installed. Normally I might have done this myself, but the new vanity was not placed directly in the same spot as the old one and the drain pipes needed to be moved over and replaced and new supply lines were required.

Service person showed up when he said he would, gave us a reasonable estimate, and completed the work after one short trip back to his shop for parts. We are very happy with the work and would use them again.
Description of Work: Service person fixed a leaky valve in our bathtub faucet. The leak had gotten pretty bad, and we were using up all of our hot water for two showers per day. We'd even been considering buying a larger water heater. The service person diagnosed the problem right away, went back to his shop for the correct replacement part, and replaced the valve. Now the faucet works perfectly.

The operator first say that they are going to come around 12, but then she called me back at 12:45 and say that she is dispatching a plumber to my address and will be there in 30 min. The plumber show up at 2:00, so more than 1 hour late. I took a day off and rearrange stuff just for this work, and already angry about the fist experience. I show the plumber around and do 3 things, repair shower (change the cartride which I am going to by myself at HD), install a faucet sink and replace kitchen faucet. The plumber then spend about 20 min in the truck to give me an estimate, while I am just waiting impatienly. Plumber have no people skill at all, and just look at things and go back to the truck and get an estimate. He then show up after a while and quote me $879 plus tax, which total going to be close to $1000 buck to do all these, and I will need to drive to HD to get my own cartridge. He said if I join their protection plan, the price wil go down and I will save 129 buck, but I need to pay 89 buck. I just took the estimate and ask why it is that much, and he basically say we have a set pricing for all the service, and changing the sink might take 3 hours, and he may not even able to get them all done today. I complaint about the late response and he just say I dont know anything about that but it is not his fault. I was not just angry with the high price, but overall a very bad experience Note: I am not spending the close to 1000 buck quoted since I decided not too. I can get the $20 parts from HD and complete everything myself now. I first thought hiring a pro will save me time and I dont mind to pay 2-3 hundred buck for the service, but I am not expecting close to $1000 estimate.

 + -1 moreRodney showed up on time and was very professional. He installed the new disposal without any problem or issue. My only disappointment was their pricing, which struck me as very high. The charged $234 (plus tax, of course) for the install labor, when others do it for $125 or so. Because I had paid for a coupon that was $50 for $125 of services, it ended up costing me $181 for the labor only in the end -- which still seems like a lot for this one project and meant the coupon was not really any kind of deal.
