Best Plumbing

The plumber was on time, clear, and helpful. He investigated the (odd) plumbing around the tub to rule out other possible causes of the block, and then told us that rooting it might clear it or the plumbing setup might be the problem. We asked him to go ahead and root it and it cleared promptly.

It was fine when they came but then we had a problem with one of the install that they did and the guy argued with us. I won't use them again. It was fine during but afterwards, he charged us $300 to just check a leak that's like a maintenance check. The price was ridiculous. I ended up arguing with my wife about coming out to fix a dishwasher that he installed incorrectly.

This is really too pricey for the repairs (labor and parts). While his knowledge got at the issues, he rambled on about his youth, the industry, his family and more. In the end, he failed to take off the value through Angie's List (though the office refunded it at our request). So he touched three toilets, replace some parts in two and essentially was paid about $100.00 for each while here about two hours. Frankly, I think Best Plumbing is a umbrella for independent plumbers - since he had a recommended rate sheet from them; but could charge at his discretion. Feel this deal was inadequately described or the deal opens the door to flagrant abuse.

Jonathan is a fantastic plumber. Loved that he just wanted to know why things were the way they were; a true sign of a professional. We are both unemployed at the moment and he really worked with us to keep costs down as much as possible. The work was done on time and well coordinated with the condo management for water shut off. All of these factors will keep us as long-time customers.

Service went well-arrived on time, located problem quickly, gave options -completed selected repair. Very pleased-could not ask for more.

Bought the deal through Angie's List - paid $72 for $130 worth of plumbing services. I assumed it might be an additional $200 to complete the replacement of the in-sink garbage disposal. Turned out to be an additional $450 bringing the total with the Angie's Deal to over $500 for a simple replacement. Seems unreasonable to me to charge $529 for 1/2 hour worth of labor to install a $90 part.

I think I asked him to do maybe 2 things and he took out his book and said "Well that would be this much, and this much and this much," and he was kind of like "Well you're already in here and I'm already here so I might as well do it." Some people are so nice that if it's a little extra and it's on the same kind of package they're just nice enough to do it for you as part of using them for the service and I did not find that from this provider at all.

They were very professional but they quoted extra costs for the job. I decided to not use the deal.

When the plumber arrived, he quoted over $300 for the service so wanted an additional $180 to perform the service. I said absolutely not.

I was presented with an invoice and shown two numbers indicating the price I would pay. I signed the work order and went to work. My wife was at home and paid the final bill. The final bill was different than the amount I that the plumber pointed at and told me I would pay. Instead of charging me the rate in the right (total) column...the plumber charged me the rate in the left column. At no time was there any discussion or other indication that there were two separate possibilities for charges. They tried telling me that the two columns were standard vs value rates, but the value rate was in the far right column and that was the one the plumber pointed at. Later on, when it came time to total everything up....the plumber circled the column on the left...which was the higher total. That circle was clearly done after I signed the work order authorization because it's in different ink. Total scam. That's why you can't trust these Angies List coupons....because these companies ALWAYS find a way to charge you the same price or more. Last coupon for me.

It was excellent. They showed up on time, gave me a quote before doing the work and chose the best possible solution for me. I spent an additional $450 with them.

Used Angie's list deal to buy $200 of service for $119. I requested service online Sunday and they called me promptly Monday morning to set up an appointment for Tuesday. They called a 1/2 hour before the serviceman's (Phil) arrival. Phil came out and cleared the sewer and bathtub lines by removing the toilet in the basement. The line was then scoped to insure that the line was cleared and that there wasn't any root damage or intrusions. Toilet was reinstalled and the area cleaned up.

Very efficiently. Tried snake first, then used auger.

The service provided to me by Best Plumbing was fine. There was nothing that really stood out for me.

The fellow who came by was friendly and knowledgeable. He patiently answered all of my questions and followed up with some estimates by email, just as he promised to do. I felt like he knew what he was doing and wanted to get me a fair deal. I would absolutely do business with this company again.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service. The service worked out just fine and they didn’t charge me anything additional apart from the big deal amount. I have no complaints at all. They were punctual and they did what I’d asked them to do. There was no mess and everything was great. So I give them a high recommendation.

Randy looked at the problem and said he could just be a matter of tighten something or it could b bigger issue that would require a new faucet. He said he would look a little longer and then we would discuss it. It did turn out to be a matter of just tighten a cable. Randy gave me pricing if I would ever want to replace my existing faucet with a similar one. He also told me about Best Plumbing's showroom since I will be doing a kitchen remodel in the next year or less.

The galvanized steel pipes under the sink were less than 50 years old and a joint was dripping. He sawed out a section of the pipe and installed plastic parts in their place. The work was done professionally and quickly. The toilet does not flush well. He looked at it and ran a snake down it but did not fix anything. He suggested that it might just be old and explained that the water erodes the jets and eventually the flow is too slow to flush effectively. However the toilet is not very old. The work was done well, but $450 seems very expensive, even for a plumber.

The service went great. They were professional, on time and polite.

Of course, my plumbing needs always happen on a weekend/evening! The basement was flooding due to a broken sump pump. Best came in and diagnosed the problem (originally thought it was a broken gfi switch) and replaced the broken pump. They worked in the pouring rain and late into the evening to get the job done so that water would flow to street instead of into the basement. Workers were courteous, helpful and offered easy to follow tips and advice to avoid any problems in the future.

The plumber was very friendly, knowledgeable and fast. He quoted me a price for each item before he started and gave me the option to proceed or not. No surprises at the end of the work. The plumber was passionate about his trade, and explained how everything was being done. He also noted a problem with my water heater expansion tank, which I had no idea was broken. I was amazed at how fast he was able to perform the jobs, which included cutting into walls. I was very impressed and pleased with the entire experience. The only problem I experienced was that the dispatcher failed to communicate to the plumber that I had purchased a discount coupon on Angie's List, so now I have to call the company back and ask for the a refund of the coupon amount.

I was having an issue with a water hammer and a leaky connector under my sink. I purchased a Big Deal for Best Plumbing. They were quick to respond and got someone out on the date and time I needed them. Michelle came out and did a great job. She was investigated and fixed the problems. My big problem was not with her, I would use her as a plumber any day. I was frustrated with the company pricing. I know plumbers are not cheap, but this was a little over the top. The prices were about $120 ($22 at Home Depot) per arrestor (I got 3) and $100($15 at Home Depot) for the connector (I needed 2). The price is labor included. This would be fine if it were just one item, but per. It took less than 1 hour to put these items on. Basically I was charged labor that was never done? it?s just the price. It was a rip off.

Best Plumbing turned out pretty good, there was some unexpected expenses that came with that, that I was not prepared for. They did a drain inspection and since my house, I didn't own it at the time, and since the house doesn't have a separate access to the drain, they had to basically uninstall the toilet and re-installed it and that's what I paid extra for that I was not expecting. I could have re-installed it myself but I was exhausted and I pretty much wanted to have it over with. He showed up late, to be fair there was a lot of traffic that day so I don't hold that against the poor guy. Responsiveness was good. The guy was very professional.

They were very responsive and had a plumber out to my house quite quickly after I called. The plumber doing the work explained everything thoroughly and fixed all of the problems I was having.

The guy who built this house would come in January to see it. The inspector who installed took him a while to figure it out. He is professional. I really like working with these people. The guy stayed for a while for him to figure the problem. That really impressed me. They are always on time. They will help me with the best that I can do. The guy whom I worked with is awesome.
