I had the unfortunate luck of finding my driver's side-view mirror shattered while parallel parked on a narrow street in Fremont last weekend.  I stopped in at Bernard's on a whim (after my insurance company recommended a shop miles from home) due to Yelp reviews.  James took a look at the damage, went straight to the computer to look for parts, and handed me a quote in less than 10 mins.  It was reasonable (and under my deductible...you're welcome insurance), so I asked him to go ahead and order the part.  He called me back two days later and I scheduled an appointment for the following day.  I happened to be in the area about an hour early, so called to see if I could come in before my scheduled time.  I drove over, pulled my car up, and the work was done in under 15 mins!  It's working perfectly and I couldn't have been happier about the customer service at Bernard Import!  Thanks James!

We stopped by Bernard's new offices on Aurora avenue, set up an appointment for the following week. Bernard Auto arranged a rental car with Enterprise and handled all the logistics. The repairs were done in a matter of days. The right side of our car is, to my untrained eye, exactly like new.

I was embarassed and devastated when I saw the damage to my car. I called my insurance agent who gave me 3 body shops to choose from, all 3 had good guarantees/warranties approved by my insurance company and BMW. I was especially worried since the car is leased. I looked up the 3 companies and all seemed competent. I chose Bernard Import to do the work because they were polite, professional, and quick to get back to me even though they were very busy. I dropped off my car the following week as scheduled and a few days later they called to let me know it was ready for pickup (right on time!). They did a fabulous job, I could find no evidence of the damage and the paint was perfect. As a nice bonus they detailed the car inside and out, it was pretty dirty when I dropped it off, they thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned the interior. I expected the exterior to be clean but this was a full detail. I paid them my deductible, signed the paperwork, and everything else was worked out between them and my insurance company. They made the whole process very easy and pleasant for me and I will not hesitate to go back if I am in need of a body shop again. It couldn't have been easier, especially considering the damage was 100% my fault. I spent less than an hour total on phone calls and emails including the time with my insurance agent. Another 20 minutes for dropoff/pickup. I am sure part of the ease must be due to my insurance company but Bernard Import was very pleasant and easy to work with. I should note that the total cost was $1700 but I only had to pay my $500 deductible.

I ve always thought that the people at Bernard Imports are very professional and knowledgeable. They are really convenient for me. Sometimes they can be a bit busy, but the quality of their work stands for itself.
