Ballard Lock & Key

Ballard Lock & Key did a GREAT job! When I called, they were very responsive and provided me recommendations about the type of keyless locks available I could purchase (which I purchased separately from Amazon). With the new lock in hand, I called back the next day to make an appointment and they were able to get me scheduled just a couple of days later. The locksmith arrived on time, with a mask and gloves (which I appreciated greatly, since most service folks aren't, even in this age of Covid), did a great job installing the keyless lock, and fixed a problematic lock on an outer door. The price was $200 for everything. I might not have appreciated how great things were with Ballard Lock & Key had I not tried another company first that failed to respond to emails and calls. It was only after Ballard Lock & Key was scheduled to come out that the first company finally responded and offered to install the keyless lock - nothing else - for $525 to $575. Bottom line: Go with Ballard Lock & Key. They're awesome.

The dispatcher made my service request a priority because my house had been burglarized. Andy adjusted his schedule to get to my house within two hours of when I called. While here he changed out seven locks, made five keys, and gave me advice on my garage door system. He was pleasant and fast. I would definitely work with this company again.

Bob is super responsive and punctual. Both times I've called Ballard Lock & Key in the past few months for service, Bob has either picked up when I called, or called back right away. He's also provided same day service. Super helpful, super friendly. I would highly recommend.

I called Bob the owner on Christmas Eve day hoping I could find someone to fix the handle on the front door of our house. I was somewhat in a panic as you the handle could be pulled off entirely. Bob asked some questions about the lock and then suggested that I send some pictures to see what if anything he could do to repair it. As luck would have it he was on his way to a dr. Appt with his very understanding wife. He was at the house in minutes and fixed the handle! I was so relieved! It was pretty scary having the front door handle falling off. I appreciated his concern and compassion for the situation and coming so quickly. In the spirit of the holiday he wouldn't accept payment. Very knowledgeable man and I would highly recommend him for any of your needs.

Great. The turnaround time was especially excellent: the point of contact to job completion, it was 4 hours. the gentleman who took the call was the same guy who did the work, and his response time, quality of work, professionalism, and price were all excellent. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Hey friends in the Seattle area...I just experienced the most excellent service and exquisite random act of kindness from BALLARD LOCK AND KEY - please use them if you ever have the need!! Not only did they come in their mobile van and unlock my storage area that I had lost the key for ON A SUNDAY MORNING after Halloween (with no notice) - but they also saw that I (alone) would be moving all the items in a very full storage area from a basement, up a flight of stairs, in the rain to a cargo van AND THEY INSISTED ON STAYING AND HELPING ME!! I almost cried, I could not believe it as this was the last exhausting leg of a major move. We knocked out in 20 minutes what would have taken me quadruple that time. To top it off, they did it all for a reduced fee - all of this unsolicited and unexpected. I love them - please use them!! ?????

Ballard Lock & Key came within 15 minutes of my call to fix the lock on my front door; it turned out to be an easy/fast fix.  He was professional and quick, and showed me how to fix it myself in case it happens again.

They came on very short notice, after hours, and did excellent work. At a very fair price.

I called them to request service. They asked me what the problem was and I told them. They said it would cost $50.00 for them to just come out look at it and asked me to go try something on the lock. Their suggestion worked therefore saving me a service charge from them. That made me feel like they were extremely honest people and not just out for the money. I have other lock related things I need done and will definitely be calling them.

Late, but let me know about an emergency lock that needed to be replaced. Professional and courteous. Did a great job.

My place was broken into on a Friday. I was not able to get home until Friday afternoon and was worried about having a busted door through the weekend before I could get anybody to come out. I had a spare set of keys stolen so I changed both locks on the door and also my mailbox lock. The two things I'm most greatful for was that Bob was able to respond very quickly within an hour of calling and that he was able to salvage the door by installing a wrap-around plate. He also did a great job of cleaning up after himself leaving my place spotless.

My room mates House Key would no longer work, in the back door either Knob or Dead Bolt. I tried my key and couldn't get it to work either. I couldn't understand why as it had worked fine up to this point and was sure that I was going to have to replace it. $75 to $100. I called the locksmith who had installed and re-keyed the Locks in the past. Though I had used him many times I did not receive a call back for over a week. My Room mate was locked out multiple times. Desperate I called Ballard Lock and Key the Friday before Thanksgiving. I was worried I wouldn't no one would be available and to make it worse the only time I could meet was after work. . . .The Week-end I could already see the $$$$, but had to do it. Bob answered the phone right away, and said after 6:30 was his and quot;favorite timeand quot;. I don't know if that was true but really made me feel better. I asked if I should call when I was on my way or when I got home-he said whatever is best for YOU. He arrived promptly about 5min after I called. He took a look and said the Lock worked fine, we were just pulling the knob too hard against the weather stripping so it wasn't aligning with the door correctly - so we couldn't turn the Key. Just to play it safe he made four copies of the Master Key and didn't charge me a thing. The door works fine.
I was a little embarrassed for troubling him, but he was very nice about it.
I would definitely use him again.

They came right away, did the work in fine fashion, and charged a very reasonable amount. No complaints of any kind.
