Ballard Health Club

I used Ballard Olympic for a month. They have the weights, gym and swimming poo. They have a terrible layout, the weight room is not usable and it's not very clean.

This is a great fitness center. All the staff our certified personal trainers, not sales people. The monthly price includes everything in the gym. There are no additional or hidden fees. The monthly fee even includes classes and personal training. I like having a gym that I go to work out and not go to be up-sold.

They have great classes, friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. It is in a historic building. You don’t appreciate these classes till you are sixty. That is when I began to learn. The Feldenkrais classes reshape your spine. It gives you exercises to improve your daily life and make you feel more comfortable. It gives you opposite of life no pain, no gain, It helps to make friends with your body in a positive way without turning into a slob. You can actually go to some place and go through a process designed for your body needs, a private session I did do that trade for one. I did not get it the way they have at the Olympic Ballard Health Club. I am in that stage where I feel that I am so relaxed. As for the prices for what you get they are good. They have a steam room, a swimming pool, sauna, bathtub, lots of different machines and you can get trainers and tonight they have a first aid workshop and then you can get dunged in a tank next week to loose the body fat you. So they have a lot of stuff going on. You can get a monthly or yearly subscription. You will get a couple of perks if you sign up for the year. When the quotes of January came they canceled the Seldom Price and I inquired of the manager when it would be back. He assured me that it would soon and it is back now. I wrote to the manager and they get a plus mark. So they are very responsive As for professionalism it is very good. There is room full of people and the staff is concerned and gives us towels. We may move within a year of two then what will I do. I really like it.

It is a great gym.

Great. They demystify the equipment, and design programs that challenge you, you master them, and then they build on that for the next round of challenges. There are all kinds of folks there, not just shiny spandex folks, and they treat everyone with respect. At peak times you sometimes have to adjust your workout based on what's available, but there's always some piece of equipment available that fits your needs... Overall, just great. Supportive, welcoming, low-key... not a lot of frills, but I don't need and don't want to pay for frills (for me, 24-hour access isn't important, b/c I'll never be working out at 4 am, and a pool and whirlpool aren't of interest to me.)

Very friendly mom-and-pop gym in downtown Ballard. It has all the equipment you'll need. The classes are great and I know a lot of people that aren't even members of the gym- they just pay the $8/class fee. Plenty of televisions and audio hookups on almost every cardio machine. It's in an old building so the atmosphere is very charming.
