Beautiful Custom Stairs provided us with exactly what the company name promised... Owner Loren Dugan consulted with us on the design, and was open to hearing our preferences while still providing us with the benefit of his expertise. I cannot emphasize enough the quality of his work. He is a true craftsman. The wooden treads he made are absolutely gorgeous, and took into account details (such as how the wood grain would look from the side) which someone who does not specialize in stairs would have definitely overlooked. This is the only home project I've done where my first reaction was "It was worth every penny." The subcontractor that did the majority of the installation was also experienced in stairs, and Loren supervised him appropriately. One misunderstanding occurred along the way. Loren personally came to our house at 8 p.m. and made our desired changes, while smiling, as opposed to arguing with us about whose fault the misunderstanding was (something I have experienced from other contractors).
