We hired this roofer to re-coat a roof of an apartment building, as a
preventative measure, not because we had any active leaks. They were
supposed to start the work in early fall but they ended up not
performing it until December during the holidays. During their work,
they caused several leaks, which effected several apartment units. We
had trouble getting Associated Roofing to come back to the building to
fix their work. The repairs stretched on for weeks. Tenants were
furious, requested compensation and we even lost a tenant due to this.
We had large expenses for contractors to remove soaked drywall and
insulation, and make repairs to the several units' walls, ceiling,
electrical, etc. to restore them. I asked the owner, Bryan, for a
partial reduction on the services due to the damages. I provided him
copies of the invoices from all our contractors. He refused to take any
responsibility for their poor workmanship, was extremely unprofessional,
and aggressively immediately filed a lien against the property instead.
We were able to get another, more reputable roofer to fix everything.
