The Gent that met with my husband explained a lot about roofing during the time that he was at the home and was indenting to show my husband some techniques (which would have taken place, except that we have since moved and are selling that property). I really appreciate that he was informative and thoughtful, it was a really great experience. So much so that we intend to hire them again to help us with the new home.

Ascent Roofing was fantastic. Really we have no complaints. We had received three bids, actually four, if we include Ascent Roofing. One bidder failed to note the skylights issue which made us wonder what else that bidder might have failed to see; also, he was the most expensive. Another seemed very competent (Sound Roofing) and we were going to go with him, but we had trouble communicating with his office staff. Another--a highly rated Angie's List roofer--was surly and combative when he came out to give the quote! So Ascent Roofing, which was responsive, courteous, and took note of all the various issues with our job, got our business.

I had some wind damage to a flat roof on an attached building. It was
basically torn back halfway and needed to be replaced. I called Ascent
based on a friend's recommendation.
Dave, came out, looked it
over thoroughly, pointed out some concerns to keep in mind as he spec'd
the work, and got me a bid the next day. It was a very good price and
included optional costs depending on some things they couldn't be sure
about until the work started.
I schedule the work with a start
date option depending on weather. Got a call the day before and set it
up for the next day. The crew showed up right on time and started right
in. They had 4 guys flying around on the roof all day, did a really
clean and professional job that looks better executed than whoever had
done the previous job some 25 yrs. ago. They found some additional
damage that required some underlayment fixing and they did it and only
charged for the materials. All in all, they came in right on budget and
got the place looking better than when they showed up.
