They did a great job and completed the work on time. My only concern is that it ended up being a bit expensive, but the quality of the job was excellent.

Brian started off with problems as his power washer didn't start. It was relatively new and he took it back for repairs and borrowed another one, which also didn't work. Brian, thoroughly disgusted by this time, hand washed the house and things were up hill from that point. His paint job was excellent. He kept us informed about the status of things. He had two assistants who were also good. He was very careful, was excellent with the trim work and cleaned up the area very well.

I requested estimates from two painting contractors with favorable reviews on Angies list. Brian of Around Town Painting get back to me within a day and looked at the house and emailed back an estimate. His estimate was substantially below the other estimate ( 3 sides of the 1928 house are covered in cement board/asbestos siding and one side is cedar bevel siding). Two positives were that Brian recognized that the cedar portion had been stained and would require a complete coat of primer, and he used a high quality paint - in this case Benjamin Moore where we had found our color combination. Brian and his small crew had an open slot and started the job shortly after we told him to put us on his schedule. They worked efficiently over five days and finished up the job. There were careful not getting paint where it didn't belong. The one area where they could have been more careful was on one side of the house where pressure washing and prepping left a lot of paint chips in the the planting area. However, any time spent by us cleaning up was a fair trade for the very reasonable job rate.

We got 2 to 3 bids and chose this contractor because his price seemed reasonable for a 'small job.' We also liked that he and one other person did the work. He did a good job of contacting us and giving us a sense of when he would be able to complete the work.

We found it very easy to work with Brian and his crew. Brian responded quickly to my e-mails when we were deciding who to use, and he accommodated any requests we had throughout the whole process. We had set Monday, September 8, as the day to begin work. Brian came over the previous Friday to begin power washing, and he and his crew completed the job in four days (September 8-11).

Went well. Brian was responsive to visit for an estimate and submit bid. Kept close to schedule despite late start due to prior job being increased in scope. Sourced all paint and materials. Got store to replace custom color due to naming/code confusion. Re-sprayed and repainted brushed areas for 2nd coat -- good solid result. Excellent caulk/sealing of all window trim and edges. Follow-up visit to cover any touch-ups. Was flexible to our schedule (when we were in town during summer vacation, etc..)

Bryan Duckworth did a great job. His bid came around the low middle and he gave me a few options so I used his company out of 8 bids. He was prompt, worked quickly, and surprised me with his attention to detail. He had a great attitude, good communicator! My little house looks great!

Very consciences and hardworking. We used 3 colors on the house and there was some miscommunication on what should go where, but he and his crew quickly fixed what they had mispainted and continued with the job. Much cheaper then the other quotes we received, but the quality of work was very good. I tracked the time his crew worked and he came within $150 of his original estimate. I considered it a $150 tip for a job well down and quickly executed. We had some blistering over the winter because they painted too quickly over an area I had used paint remover on. I contacted Brian in the spring and he immediately came out and fixed the problem area at no charge. Based on the work he did on our house he ended up painting 3 separate houses in our neighborhood because people liked the work he did.
