* he is very unprofessional in many ways
* initially installed gutters level (not sloping as they should be) with only one downspout per side of house (as opposed to two)
* does not charge sales tax (therefore probably does not report his income)
* said he thew away my materials receipts (for charges made on my credit cards) after promising to give them to me, costing me $1000s in tax deductions
* when Ramon left to get materials, one of his workers (to whom I wrote a check directly at the start of the day) said he wouldn't be back the next day, because Ramon had always failed to pay him in the past.
After intense urging, I paid Ramon the balance of our verbal agreements less $50, with his promise to God and his mother that he would finish some half-done flashing and poorly attached, dangling flashing at two separate properties.
Our business relationship seems to have just concluded today, several weeks later, with a yelling, profanity laced tirade in which he vented his frustrations and denied that he said he would finish the work.
I have significant construction experience and backbone, and was barely able to manage him and the endless re-dos which were necessary. Can't recommend his work.
