ADVANCED MECHANICAL & PLUMBING

Ours was a two-part installation which initially went well enough that we recommended them to a friend. When they came back for the second part, the quality was shoddy enough to our untrained eyes that we called in another couple of plumbers to look it over. Both said separately much of it needed to be redone due to it being nowhere near up to code. One of them said they had rarely seen work that poor from a licensed plumber and wanted no part of redoing it due to liability. I asked Advanced to grab their tools and submit a final bill at that point, leaving the job largely unfinished. I also called our friends we had recommended Advanced to, to give them a heads-up. They had already decided to not work with Advanced further after having them install a water heater at their house. A few weeks after Advanced left our job, one of the supports holding the hand shower fell off the wall, shattering the hand shower due to its having been glued rather than secured to the wall with screws. My final (hopefully) experience with Advanced Plumbing was getting a call from their Attorney two weeks ago asking whether we were planning on submitting a final payment. Advanced had cashed the check more than a week prior to my receiving the call from their Attorney. I'm giving this detail due in part to my guilt for having recommended Advanced to a good friend and hoping to clear my conscience. It's my first negative revue on Angies List and hopefully my last.

I called them, they came out within 24 hours to give me an estimate, they explained everything thoroughly. I felt like the price was right, so we decided to go ahead with the job; they were competent and got done on schedule. Whenever I had questions, it was no bother. I am very happy with the heating system they installed. I would use them again if I needed other work done and I have referred them to friends.
