Description of Work: They installed a stair lift on outside steps going up to a family home occupied by a disabled person. There were some delays and payment mix-ups, questions about fasteners, all resolved.

 + -1 moreBecause of upcoming ankle surgery, we needed a way to navigate the stairs in our house. Called some other services first and were told that time cycle would be weeks (given time to plan, get city permits, order, install, inspect.) I called Adaptive Installations (Bill) and he said less-that-a-week. When I questioned the time by telling him what others had said, he said something like "They don't want to hustle like I do. I'll walk the permits through the city processes and arrange for inspection myself". The installation team came when they said and were clearly knowledgeable. The inspector came the next day. We were pleased. And the price was even a bit less than others quoted.
Description of Work: Provided a stair climbing device.

Contractor accidentally dropped weights (used to test system witnessed by County Elevator Inspector) causing some damage to stairwell and chairlift support rail. Damage was promptly and appropriately fixed. Communication during this period was prompt and excellent, and the work was performed cheerfully and professionally. I felt their response to this unforeseeable problem reflected well on the contractor and gave me a more complete favorable impression of them than I might have gained if the job had had no complications. Things happen. Adaptive Installations handled the overall assignment including the weight situation better than many other professionals I have dealt with in the past.
Description of Work: Adaptive Installations installed a complex chair lift system from street level to our 3rd fl. condominium.
