AAA HALF PRICE MOVING

On the basis of some great reviews on another site I called AAA Half-Price Moving to move a very heavy trundle bed and 2 dressers. I booked 2 hours - from 10 to noon - knowing I wouldn't need it but figuring it would give me plenty of time. Then I planned the rest of my day for work-related meetings. When the movers were 10 minutes late I called to see if they were lost - Magnolia can be a tricky neighborhood. The owner did not realize they were not en route so she called them. She said they were coming from Everett and the truck was having a radiator problem - but no one bothered to call to tell me. The owner asked if I wanted to re-schedule since I had meetings later. I said no because I had already taken apart two bedrooms and needed to get this done. I figured I'd be done by 11 and get on with my day. She said "Well, I would just hate for you to pay for 2 hours and not be able to use it all." At 11 I called back and was told that the truck was on 15th and should be here soon. Finally at 11:45 - almost TWO HOURS late - the truck arrived. The driver came in apologizing and said they got there as fast as they could, but the owner had just called them. She told the drivers that SHE FORGOT TO PUT ME ON THE SCHEDULE. So two hours later I finally got my stuff moved - after cancelling work meetings and losing my afternoon. So not only did she forget to schedule me, she didn't have the b**** to admit her mistake and instead blamed her employees and stressed to me that I would still be responsible for paying for my 2 hour appointment. It was HER fault that my day was ruined, but all I got from her were lies and excuses. This business sucks and I hope no else makes the mistake of trusting them the way I did. Half-Price Movers?? More like Half- Assed.

Very well and smoothly. When I called for information someone called me back within hours, gave me all the information & scheduled my move which was only a few days away. The movers called the morning of my moving day to let me know their arrival time (which was a little early). I was extremely satisfied and happy with the movers and how everything went. They were very easy to work with & made sure I was satisfied with how the furniture was placed in the new apt.

A woman named Patty runs the company well, though a few things slipped, like a packer was never sent to pack my glassware as requested. My dishes were packed by them, they did a great job but the $40/hour charge quoted for packing does not include boxes or tape and these add to the cost. Still worth it - the boxes were packed well and labeled. I was disappointed that 2 days before my move I emailed to confirm someone would come for the glassware and got no reply, One day before the move I called about the glassware and to get an estimated time of arrival, still no reply. Moving day I was worried but sure enough at 9:30 I got a call - they were on their way. The movers were WONDERFUL, good attitudes,and efficient. One accidentally broke something and immediately told me which was appreciated, in trying to get the couch out the door they scratched the door paint and never mentioned it or tried to make good. I did not pursue any damages. Still for the price - AAA can't be beat!

STUNNINGLY PROFESSIONAL MOVERS. IT WAS 91 DEGREES OUT AND THEY RAN THE ENTIRE DAY. THEY TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF OUR FURNITURE, INCLUDING SOME LARGE ANTIQUES. IN SPITE OF THEIR CHEEZY NAME, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY'RE ECONOMICAL, WOMAN-OWNED. THE OWNER IS AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE DAY, SO IF THERE WERE PROBLEMS, YOU CAN REACH HER.
