Hired them to paint most of the interior of the house, upstairs and downstairs. Had one painter doing the whole job, including moving furniture, the painter didn’t have a ladder, had to use ours. The ceilings in various areas so were poorly done they need to be repainted. They wanted to come back to fix, I didn’t want to spend another week at home so they compensated by taking $$$ of the bill. Didn

The 5 Star team showed up as scheduled and did the work requested at a high level of quality. 5 Star painted the exterior of the house with 3 colors (primary, trim, door), plus they did a small tile repair\replace job in the house.

They are great.

Fantastic, I would highly recommend them.

Multiple problems. Vendor was unresponsive to calls...calls were not returned or ignored. I never knew when the painters were going to show up or not. The initial start date was promised to be mid July but ended up three weeks later -- then the work was not completed quickly. Painters would show up for a day, do some work, and be gone for days. I never knew when they'd be on the property. Wires for my cable TV were pulled from the exterior of my house so they could paint but were not refixed to the house and are now hanging loose from 20 feet up. Also cleanup was bad: hundreds of paint chips were left around the west side of my house that I'm still picking up. Also one of the painters told me I could shut my windows (I also had them paint those) within a couple days...his friend corrected him and told him if I did that they would be stuck shut! Thank goodness the second painter was there; if not I'd have brand new wood windows stuck shut. (I needed to leave them open a week to dry properly.) Overall a terrible experience.

Did not show up for the job. They did not even let me know that they would not want my job (I had prepaid for the job).

The went well.

They didn't finish painting; left a wall half undone, and there were patches where I had to go back and repaint. Said that they ran out of time; I would have been happy to pay more - but they had to go. Came on a Saturday after cancelling on me twice the week prior, so they were eager to get home.

I used an Angies List coupon and paid for the additional square footage. They were responsive, flexible with dates, and did a phenomenal job caulking and repainting the whole exterior, in 3 separate colors. I would definitely hire them again.

Initially the work was good at a fair price. Unfortunately they forgot to put a second coat of paint on 2 walls and didn't touch up at the end. I called Marco, who assured me he'd be back soon to finish the job...it's now 3 months later and he still hasn't contacted me!! My pictures are still on the floor! Not happy!

Painting was well done, arrival time was late, painters were very nice.

This company, while polite and hardworking, never responded or called in response to one of the two coupons I purchased. With the other Big Deal coupon which called for 2 coats of paint, the contractor did not understand the proper process of applying two coats. The owner thinks that spraying on the first coat and immediately backrolling it constitutes two coats. Also, there was contradictory language on the coupon where in one section, the doors were included under items to be painted, but curiously in the fine print, it was stated that there would be an additional fee to get the doors painted. In fairness, this contradiction is not the contractor's fault. What is their fault is the fact that never returned to do any touch up work after promising to do so.

They worked well with me and made the project work despite poor weather and cool temperatures. Overall nice people to work with.

Marco and his crew were the greatest to work with, they arrived on time, worked hard for almost a full week to meet our schedule to have our whole house painted before we moved into the house. Their attention to detail was second to none. They met their promised schedule and quote price! We are so impressed we are already working with them to paint the exterior of the house this spring.

Excellent, Five Star Painting was very professional and thorough. They showed up on time, scraped, patched, primed and painted three colors (trim, shutters, main color). The owner called to check in with me and came by to see how things were progressing. I'll definitely use them again for other general contractor projects.

great. 2 workers. there was a reschedule due to illness and they did arrive a bit later than the appointed time due to directions issues. But, I was fine with it. I did supply the drywall and of course it was a different thickness than the surrounding material making the repair a bit more complicated. I don't see a difference in the finish, they dealt with it nicely. I did not have them paint as this was a 3 hour prepaid work offer and the work did take that amount of time. they did fine with prep and clean up and marked the water hoses for me to reattach correctly. I am happy with the patch work and how texture dried.

First things first. To be fair to Carlos and Marcos, I think they got a huge surge of business from their Angies List Offer. The offer was approx 3200 dollars for a house my size, plus the cost of the paint. I paid for the offer in May and the house was not completed until August. During this period, they suffered a major turnover of personnel. Quite honestly I think they were overwhelmed, and then had to hire additional painters. Quality of Work - The house looks outstanding; they really did a great job on the painting. It looks better than it did when we bought it brand new. Timeliness of updates and final bill. This is what I perceive to be 5 Star's biggest drawback. I think both Marcos and Carlos are trying to do all the painting and the administrative work at the same time. This is causing them to miss call backs and to ensure timely billing. Although I paid for the service up front through Angies List, I have yet to receive a bill for the cost of the Paint and some work they did to replace some rotten wood around the windows. I finally got a call from their assistant a week ago but still have not seen an invoice. If they could fix the administrative part of their business, their work speaks for itself. Both young men are extremely professional and good men. They really did a great job on the house. If you don't mind putting up with this aspect, their price was extremely reasonable, and I would recommend them.

All our interactions with the painters were very professional and positive. It ended up taking longer (and therefore more money) than originally estimated, but we were charged less for the additional time and the end result was great - including dual-color detailing work on our built-in furniture.

On time..did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend Marco!!!

The whole job has been a DISASTER!!! They did pressure wash but then didn't start any work till almost 2 months later. My house became dirty again as a result. Then they started to scrape the house and sand...but after a while, stopped sanding and only did scraping. This made my siding look TERRIBLE, like an old beat up nightmare. After they finished scraping they left paint chips everywhere including in the dirt and on my brand new deck. It got up to 100 degrees on some days and these paint chips began to adhere to my deck. I had to pay SOMEONE ELSE to clean up the mess. Then, they finally began painting the first coat, but also did this on a 100 degree days. The paint on one side of my house has remained sticky for over a month! They also OVER SPRAYED DARK PAINT Onto my BRAND NEW Trex decking and did not even attempt to clean it off, and they painted all of my utilities and over sprayed onto concrete I had not intended to paint! Further, they scraped and then put on white primer paint which then dripped onto my new brown paint and also ONTO MY TREX DECKING and MY NEIGHBORS colored concrete!!! They also left bags of garbage on my property which I now have to take to the dump and my house has not been touched in 3 weeks with the painting job NOT COMPLETED!! They also left ladders here and various thing. And finally, they PAINTED CLOSED all 19 of my windows which previously opened perfectly. I had just purchased brand new screens which have now been cast off into my yard for 6 weeks getting dirty and damaged. My house has white paint also on my roof line because they were sloppy and that needs to be cleaned off as well! The owner Marco is unresponsive to texts and calls. The Angies List coupon was purchased in March of this year, it is now September and the job is not finished. The unprofessional behavior is staggering. I made a mistake by not asking for references, buyers beware of this company, there are several others just like me who were burned by this Angies List "deal".

They did a fabulous job. I was very pleased and would hire them again in a minute.
