The bathroom and kitchen turned out great, but the time it took was terrible. Project started in early May and did not finish until November. Two days of work and nobody would be there for 3 days. Unless you have all the time in the world, DO NOT use this company.
Response from Alpine Ridge Construction Inc
"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for your feedback. We understand the frustration. To clarify, the scope of work was the almost the entire main floor of the home consisting of about 1500 square feet and yes it did take 6 months to complete. Most of the timing issues that come with remodeling are using sub contractors that have been vetted and trusted to work in client's homes. Along with their possessions and children, these subs are trusted to perform with the highest integrity. Our craftsmen are highly sought after and the result is they are in high demand. So to ensure the safety our clients and quality or our work, we do the best to schedule these trusted partners. On this project we had no less than 9 different valued sub contractors to schedule. Yes, in the short term it does take a bit longer to use these team members. In the long term, we have an excellent product that was done professionally and safely adding value to your investment. Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you all the best and hope you are enjoying your home!"

The entire project went so well it was unbelievable. This was our second remodel, however the first was done by friends. We weren't exactly sure what to expect but had heard remodeling stories from other people that left us apprehensive about remodeling. We didn't know how to go about finding a contractor. Fortunately we live in a wonderful neighborhood and one of our good neighbors had hired Alpine Ridge for their remodel. How did we get so lucky? One friend living in our area, when she found out our contractor was Greg Hughes said, "I am so jealous, I wanted Greg to do our remodel". She had to have her brother-in-law for her contractor, and was extremely unhappy with the result. We liked having Greg as our contractor because he was from the area, which was nice since he knew the terrain and the problems it posed. We had heard great things about him and his reliability, standards and principles. It was a pleasure working with Greg's crew they were enjoyable to work with, trustworthy and honest. We were never concerned about leaving everything available to the Mark and Ryan when we were gone. Even with the inconveniences of sleeping in different spaces and using the dining room as our closet, I have to say there was never any horror stories to tell. It went as smoothly as you could hope for, with life being in an upheaval. Greg listened to all of our requests and was able to give knowledgable suggestions and solutions. I never thought that a remodel would be called an enjoyable experience, but this was a pleasure working with Greg and the guys. It was a relaxed productive project which made the end result a home that is not only beautiful but a positive atmosphere. Of course attitude was everything. Theirs and ours. The house has it's old 1940's charm while having the luxury of new comfort.I can't say enough about Greg and Alpine Ridge. Except that we are about to start a basement remodel and our first phone call is to Greg and the guys.

The worker was very polite and did his work, cleaned up asked me if there was anything else, and did help me open a cabinet door I could not. My dissatisfaction was the cost and the owner of the company had told me that "it was not a big job." Then, when he made an invoice, he added two hours for a foreman-which there was none and the contractor fee was 30% of the workman + foreman + few supplies. I had not before requested an estimate-so I could not say anything!I felt that this was too expensive.

I would recommend others to call them, they were recommended to us by a neighbor who is a carpenter and knows his stuff. I wouldn't go with anyone else, they are incredibly trustworthy. We never had any problems leaving them in our home alone. They are very positive and up beat, there was only one time that I thought something wouldn't work for me and they were completely open and accommodating. I never worried that he would try to pull a fast one, he was very fair and helpful. The project took about 6 months. I told him 3 days before Thanksgiving that the inside work had to be done by Thanksgiving for my guests. They were on the house like locusts getting it done in time. He was very responsive via email and phone. I wanted him to be accessible and he was always very accessible.
