Expect any change of service to cost you hours of phone calls. It's taking, so far about 20 times longer than it should. Ridiculous. Can they not get it together? From my experience with Comcast and DirecTV, they aren't much better. Verizon, making the airlines look good!
Description of Work: Verizon has a good service when it works (TV, internet, phone), but their setup system is incredibly cumbersome. I placed an order, they didn't tell me I'd be losing some 70 channels. Now I am trying to change the order. One guy accepts the change, then I get a call saying THEY LOST the order. Then on hold for 30 minutes (so far), because they can't figure out what to do. Still don't have the service change. Incompetent much?

The company is horribly inneffieicnt. Phone customer service is terrible, wait times are ridiculously long, phone menu is unorganized, took several tries to get things scheduled, order was cancelled without warning or notification.

So far, so good! I've had Verizon DSL for about a month now and have not run into any hitches. Initially the activation date was put off by several days longer than their estimate but, the set up package arrived when they said it would and came with very clear instructions. I'm a DSL newbie, but found it very easy to install and set up. The Internet service has also worked perfectly and the software is seamless and simple to get the hang of.
Description of Work: While looking for DSL service I checked out a number of different providers and found that Verizon seemed to have the best deal for my area.

Overall we are happy with the speed of service we can get for the price. The occasional problems seem to be less than what a lot of our friends and coworkers go through with other ISPs.
Description of Work: We subscribe to Verizon Online for our DSL service. Most of the time the service is very good. Every now and then we have had problems with their servers being down or too busy such that we couldn't get on the Internet or retrieve e-mail. This problem is not so frequent as to make us want to change our service. Also, a couple of times we have had trouble getting our e-mail. The service technicians make us go through a lot of hoops and then say that it must be our Outlook program causing the problem. Then, it just starts to work again the next day, so it really must be on their end but the technicians aren't aware that the e-mail server is down which is a little frustrating, but this too hasn't happened frequently enough for us to switch services.
