I hired this company to build a garage and paid a deposit. The company then failed to return calls in a timely manner, if at all. I received blueprints for a garage that had little relation to what was agreed upon and that I had never authorized. They just showed up one day in the mailbox. No phone call, no consultation. The failure to return calls continued, so I cancelled the project.
The builder refused to return the full amount of the deposit, insisting they should be paid for the unauthorized and inaccurate plans. I agreed to the reduced amount simply to get it done. Even with that, months went by with no deposit returned. I made multiple phone calls and was assured the check would be forthcoming. Most recently 8/13/14, I again spoke with the builder. He apologized for the delay and said he would send the check immediately. Ten days later, still no check.
Do not hire this builder. He appears to be a scam artist. I read positive reviews on his website, but I now suspect they were all fictional.

He started our garage addition ,  he took numerous short cuts, 'forgot' to do several items, made mistakes that he insisted were better ways to do things than shown in the plans.  He took a large payment from us , a total of 90% of contracted price and did 50% of the work before abandoning the garage with no doors, no weather proofing , half of the siding, subfloor of new deck exposed to the weather in September days before the rain started.  He contracted with us in June of 2010 as TImberland Garages LLC (his wife was listed as owner)  opened this business days later.   Look up L&I for Timberland Garages.  and research his name on L&I before hiring him.

THIS CONTRACTOR IS NOT LICENSED.  JERRY BINFORD IS ADVERTISING AS A LICENSED CONTRACTOR - BUT HE IS NOT.  IT EXPIRED 09/10/12 AND HE HAS NOT RENEWED IT.

My experience with Pro-Built garages was excellent. Of the several contractors I contacted for an estimate, Jerry was the most prompt, the most professional, and inspired the most confidence. I was hoping his bid would be at least competitive and, in fact, was actually the lowest I received (although all the bids I received were close). After helping me obtain the necessary building permit, they promptly got to work. Dave and Kevin, the actual builders, were very professional, hard working, and friendly. I had complete confidence that they would do an excellent job, and they did. They kept us fully informed throughout the process, and everything went as well as I could have possibly hoped. After signing the garage contract with them, but before construction had started, I developed a problem with a balcony that was leaking into the house. I contacted Jerry to see if they could help me with this. He was at my home the next day and, given the emergency nature of this situation, Dave and Kevin came to my house immediately to shore this up so I wouldn't have a serious problem. They did this even though they had other projects they were in the middle of. Not only did I appreciate their willingness to disrupt their schedule for me, but the balcony I now have is much improved over what I had before.
