If we could give them zero stars we would. We had some of our siding replaced and they replaced the wrong pieces of siding around the house per my husband and my initial walkthrough and according to the diagram we were sent. When we addressed the issue to Tim in person, he was very rude and would not listen and kept telling us that there was a lawsuit against the original type of siding that we had on our house. Never once did he listen to the fact that those pieces of siding were supposed to have been replaced. After this we wrote a negative review. Only when we reported it to the state did they offer to replace the pieces of siding that they were supposed to have originally replaced and their condition included that we would take down negative reviews of their company. We refused because we did not want anyone else to get swindled and lose money to this sham of a company. The siding Roberts replaced was done in March of last year. Less than two months later, the siding they replaced was peeling off. They also say that they use computer matching to match the paint on the siding, but it was very obvious that the new siding was way too light in color compared to the old siding and it looked awful. I had offered to give them the paint for the siding so it would match better but they declined. They did not replace Tyvek underneath the new siding when they installed it and did not do anything to address mold that was underneath. DaBella and Eminent Roofing did the right thing. They addressed the mold issue and put all new Tyvek underneath before putting up new siding.

"Approximately fifty pieces of siding were replaced. Homeowner called a few days later, stating that the two pieces we installed were falling apart. [Member Name Removed] went to go meet the homeowner to explain that the two pieces she was referring to had not been replaced, it was the two pieces next to them. Had the homeowner not started yelling obscenities and had kept things civil Roberts Construction would have had no problem replacing those two extra pieces. Typically our employees are not subjected to verbal tirades. [Member Name Removed] has been with our company for over twenty years and has dealt with hundreds of extremely satisfied customers, many of which have became repeat customers."

Great, did it in 3 day, I got about 2000 sq ft of roof and installed a great light tube that allowed us to use a room with more natural light.

At the end of the day, there was no mess, and they cleaned up every day. They hauled away even small garbage in their own trash. Excellent job, very professional. They were very nice to talk to, and if they didn't know the answer they asked their boss.

They came to my son-in-laws and gave a bid on a home improvement project..they were getting ready to sell their home and called Roberts to do the work for them..Roberts went in with a great bid and were accepted..I'm not sure of everything that they did at their home but I do know that my son-in-law recommended them to me for when I do my projects at home..I trust and believe him as he is extremely picky on how things are done. He is a profectionist and therefore I know from that, that Roberts must have done a professional and perfect job..

It was a good experience. We agreed on a price and then I changed a few things and he adapted and offered choices of lower cost. They were in and out. They were neat and clean. The guy in charge of the construction had to deal with my 21 year old daughter's schedule so he did really well coordinating with her. I called them and they called me right back and came to the house and gave me a quote. They were very timely. They stayed within the quote. He told me I had a budget and I could chose materials in this category for that budget and I didn't have to find things myself. They were excellent on quality. We bought things like door stop that was magnetic and door knob and he installed that for us. He communicated well with my daughter who was living there. They did what they said they were going to do. I am planning to use him for kitchen remodeling. I didn't have any problems with them.

This review is admittedly dated since the work was done some time ago, but I felt compelled to share the experience since I just had the damage repaired. I hired Roberts Construction to repair water damage and re-flash the siding and replace water damaged rim joist and joist for $1400. I might add that they came recommended so I just accepted their bid. Bad mistake, when the repair was actually accomplished with a new contractor last week I could see little evidence that they did anything but add some flashing. Even with this I had to call Roberts back to fix the siding since it was obvious that the fiberboard siding was in direct contact with the deck and it would wick up water. I didn't crawl under the deck so it was a case of me not inspecting the work so I guess that's a lesson learned.

They were prompt in returning my phone call. Showed up for the estimate on time. The detail work - windows - started first. There was a hold up for delivery of the materials for the siding from the manufacturer - not enough of my color. So the main work started later. Once they started, they were neat, clean, tolerated my dog and did wonderful detail work - around my front porch light, my water faucets.....

Roberts came in and fixed a bad bathroom remodel preformed by another contractor. Has done an amazing job and happy to hove our house back! Top notch work and would definitely have him back.

My initial phone call was returned by the estimator the same day and an appointment was set for the next work day. He arrived on time and was professional, friendly and pleasant to work with. We discussed the installation of our new door and the specifics of how we wanted it done. In addition, he was able to help me with plans for another remodel for a later date on our laundry room. We received the door installation proposal/contract in the mail within a few days with all the specific details written out clearly. Work was scheduled in a timely manner working with my schedule and theirs. Even though he knew we were not ready to start another project at this time, the estimator sent a proposal/contract within the week for the laundry room remodel as well so we would know about how much to expect later.
The two man installation team picked up our new door at Lowe's and arrived on time. They were organized, polite, and worked conscientiously. The door was complicated and required more time to install than was expected but the team worked through lunch and stayed until they had finished. The jobsite was kept clean and orderly all through the installation and I was very satisfied with the way my home was left at completion. During this time, a subcontracted electrician arrived to install the outside lights and it was determined we would need to have an inspection done. This delayed the completion of the job by one day.
We are very pleased with our new door and how it looks. It matches our other door exactly as we planned. I would call Roberts Construction again and would recommend them to others.

Two installers arrived a little late in a large truck. They unloaded tools and equipment and setup for the next 30 min. One man was polite and trying to be helpful, but the other man started wishing for a beer at 8:30am. Both men used a lot of rough language. It took them two days to install 11 small windows and the doors. When removing the old windows the man with the drinking problem broke two windows into the house scattering glass all around. They left trash and debris all over the outside of the house. They did not caulk around the windows until I asked them to do so several times as per the work order. They refused to clean up in the house around the windows where they had left dirty stains on the walls. They refused to clean up the yard. The yard debris included glass, metal, wood, sawdust and cigarette butts. I had to insist they clean up, come back and find out they had not, forcing me to stand and watch them do a shabby job of cleaning up the mess in the yard. I also found out that the rude man had two current DUIs. Why was he sent to my home? Is that legal? No wonder he was so rude and the other man was so nervous. The next day I discovered that they had ripped out the electrical lines connecting our underground sprinkler system to the control box. I called to tell the super salesman/owner, Don Roberts, who charmed me into choosing his company, that there was about $400 damage to electrical lines that would have to be re-run and replaced. He told me they did not do it. But my sprinkler guys had been here the week before and everything worked perfectly. Fortunately I owed for the doors not included in the City's contract so our attorney advised me to subtract the amount owed from their bill and include the receipt we had already paid to the sprinkler maintenance men. Otherwise I think charming Don would have "stiffed" us. What a nightmare! And the windows are heavy and hard to work... wish we had used Perfection Glass like our neighbors, a little more money, but real quality work, not these schlokmeisters.

"We had two men who had over 30 years experience in carpentry, the same guys who did the work for all the other positive posts on this site doing the work at her home. This home owner micro managed every bit of work that was being performed second guessing even before the work was complete, so one employee made a sarcastic comment that he needed a beer to the other employee, just a figure of speech not because of any physical needs. Our employees sign agreements when they are hired that they will strictly adhere to our no drinking or no drug policies during there working hours. If our employees choose to drink on their own time that is their business. As far as the DUI claim, how would this home owner acquire information such as this when she doesn't even know the name of the particular employee she is making reference to. Again I want to emphasize our employee did not drink while on her premises or during his work hours. I do not know what she considers rough language but if it was foul language I was not made aware of it and there is no excuse for such. This job was done up to above industry standards. The windows passed the City of Richland Inspection that was performed on the job the first time with no corrections deemed necessary. If any damage was done otherwise to anything we certainly would have made it good. This home owner was very difficult to work with and in spite of the fact that we tried hard to please her we were not able to. You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time, but we do our best."
