After my back injury, I have started getting a trainer to help me with exercises, weights, etc. She is very helpful, writes everything down, and they leave an assignment sheet to go over anytime you are meeting for an appointment. The price seems to be quite reasonable at $30.00 per half hour. I very much like the fact that my trainer is very knowledgeable in physical problems. I think that it is very nice that she demonstrates the exercise, and makes sure I can do them. She doesn't ask me to take on more weight than I should, and she also states that it is important not to overdue the muscles, and to do the exercises every other day. She answers questions that I might have. She spends a lot of time going over all the exercises.

CBRC has its pluses and minuses. It has a ton of exercise equipment that is usually in good working condition, and exercise programs to appeal to all ages. It has a nice deli and sitting area, two swimming pools, tennis courts, racquet ball courts, and probably more things I have not thought to mention. However, there seem to be frequent issues with the locker room facilities (non-working showers, leaking ceilings/walls, etc) that tend to make the place smell pretty bad at times, and locker rooms are frequently closed for repairs of one kind or another, but the disrepair never seems to go away for long.
My biggest gripe is that the trainers they hired haven't got the faintest idea how to work with people over 40 - there is a basic assumption that everyone is a weight lifter or marathoner, and the training routines are not always appropriate (and very expensive). Also, the people on staff are not always very attentive to the clients - one morning there was a young girl complaining about feeling faint after doing some exercises (she actually had to lay on the floor to keep from passing out) and the staff members less than 10 feet away did absolutely nothing because they thought and quot;she was kidding aroundand quot;!
It is an okay facility, and I will probably continue to go, but if something else opened up remotely close to my route to work, I might give it some thought.

The facility is great and we think the people there are good too. We have never met anybody we didn't like. A lot of our friends go there. The facility has been there for a while. The swimming pool is awesome. We would continue to use them in the future.
