Mr. Anderson went over our existing home with a fine tooth comb. He did not miss a thing, and we were able to address the items that needed fixing, and he was very responsive when we had questions. Then, on our new construction home inspection home, he did the same. He found problems we would never have seen. He did not miss one single thing and he sent along his report within 24 hours, with pictures and explanations. We knew we could count on him because of the excellent job on the first home. He is all business and you have a report you can count on.

We hired Mike Knight of Win Home Inspection to inspect a prospective house we were looking to buy last October. In his report, he failed to see the huge mold spot on the bottom right wall of the cabinet under the kitchen sink. The mold spot extended almost to the cabinet door. (It was reported as "satisfactory" under the kitchen sink in his report.) We discovered this within the first week after the house closed, the end of November. In subsequent emails he dispelled our concern that it could have been caused by the dishwasher. He told us to use hydrogen peroxide and dry it out with a fan. We did, but it did not go away. In March of this year, our contractor, while doing a renovation on this house, uncovered a total mold disaster behind the dishwasher. The entire dry wall and bamboo flooring had to be replaced, with serious water damage to the cabinetry. The total cost including mold remediation was $9,006, but because we had intended to get new cabinets anyway, we only asked Mike for a reimbursement of $3,093 for just the wall and flooring. This massive repair job could have been avoided if the spot was seen and reported. The work would have been the responsibility of the previous owners, not ours. In May, Mike offered to refund the cost of inspection, $495. It was far inadequate to our payout. We turned him down. The fact remains that this additional repair cost was a cost we need not have to bear. As of today, 8/15/2016, he still has yet to pay his part.

Stu provided a very professional and thorough inspection. it was very apparent from just talking to him about his years of experience and it showed from his inspection and the questions he asked. He also answered all of my questions rather effortlessly again indicating his both his depth and breadth of experience. I will gladly work with Stu again!

Friendly guy that conducts the home inspection. Doesn't look out for you, but you don't know it until much later. Seller doesn't disclose leaking roof and windows. Water stains visible during inspection. Inspector says nothing about it; formal report says roof "shows no sign of leakage". Over the last 10 months, we've been dealing with this problem. Contacted inspector who claims no liability; blames recent snow as possible cause. States he will contact us; never heard from him.

The home inspection took about three hours and everything went smoothly.
