I am very very fussy about service on my 1940s Singer sewing machine, which needed a tune up and the light repaired. This was my first visit to Sewing Machine Service in Renton, having recently relocated to Seattle. They did a great job - my machine is humming. And they did it faster than they predicted. The machine cost $100, used, in 1971, and I get it tuned up about every ten years. The price of tune ups has gone up over the decades, but it is always worth it to seek out a high quality service. I don't let just anyone touch my beloved Singer. Sewing Machine Service is trustworthy! They also sell machines, including used industrial machines, and they know what they are doing, they are friendly and professional!

Serviced my New Home machine that had been through the ringer. I had sewn bags made of 11 denier cordera (sp.?) and it sewed beautifully but needed some tender loving care. This business is extaordinary and I'd not hesitate in the slightest to send others there. If fact, I do it all of the time. |(The date of service and dollar amount are an estimate.)

When I dropped off the machine, I was told I'd get a call in a day or two with an estimate for the work. After a week went by with no phone call, I called them to see what was going on. The guy on the phone was very nice and said they'd been busy and hadn't looked at my machine yet. He said he'd try to get to it in the next day or so and call me back with the estimate. He called later the same day (Friday) with the estimate and also said the machine would be ready by the following Monday or Tuesday. On Monday, he called back to say it was ready.
I picked up my machine and it works beautifully. I must add here that it's a 50 year old sewing machine and now it works just like new.

I would use them again.

Excellent. This machine is over 40 years old, and Sears no longer carries parts for it. The repair firm must have a junk yard of spare parts, as it did not hesitate to try fixing it. It did take awhile, but I was not in a rush.

THESE GUYS WERE JUST OUTRAGEOUS I FOUND OUT MORE FROM THEM THAN I EVER THOUGHT I COULD. THE MAN THAT FIXED IT TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING ABOUT IT TO ME. I SAID WOW I HOPE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS WITH THIS I GET YOU BACK HERE AND HE SAID THAT ALL OF THE SERVICE TECHS WERE LIKE HIM! NICE THING TO HEAR. BUT ALSO HE SAID BASICALLY MY MACHINE IS IN TOP CONDITION AND OTHER THAN OILING AND MAKING SURE THE LEATHER TREADLE PEDAL THING DOESN'T GET STRETCHED OUT OR BREAK I'M IN GREAT SHAPE!
