Showed up, on time, for both service calls. The first to diagnose the problem on our 30 year old dryer, the second to install a new start switch. Both visits took less than 30 minutes each time. Price paid was for two service calls and the replacement part.

Technician didn’t troubleshoot the issue, just said the dishwasher is old and needs to be replaced.

When making the appt I was asked for a model and brand of the appliance for which I provide. On appt date the tech, Craig showed up to repair the freezer part of refrigerator and I have to demand that he put either his booty cover on or remove his shoes before entering the home. Once he entered, he walked over to the kitchen and realize that my refrigerator is a built-in and said he doesn't know how fix built-in. Then he opened up my freezer and saw it was at -10 degrees and straight up said it's not broken and who the **** set it to -10. It wouldn't help the problem anyway in a rude tone of voice. I then tried to explained to him the problem with freezer not keeping ice cream frozen and ice not being make and how the temp fluctuate from -10 to 25 degree throughout the day and no one tamper with the temperature up and down button, however he keeps on interrupting saying that's not relevant and someone did tamper with it and I don't really care what you say. He then open up a panel on the back of the freezer and found out the compressor is only 10% working, but then he said he can't fix it and would cost probably $1000 or more to fix it with another guy he knows and he will contact him to call me. NO CALL for this so call guy so far. Also, during his visit my mom came back in from her errands and not knowing that someone is inside the house so she didn't wears her mask (who would have thought that you need to wear a mask inside your own home) and the tech rudely and loudly said "you have to put on your mask." Instead of asking nicely. Hello...that's just crappy manner and unprofessional. Also I just can't believe that an appliance repair tech can't make repair after diagnosis and still have the gut to charge $100 for service call when a service is not render to completion. That $100 was a fee for him to unscrew like 4 screws to open up the panel and tell me he can't fix it. I plan on file this complain with WA Attorney General and the BBB. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SKETCHY COMPANY.

He came promptly, immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it at a reasonable charge. Another repair man had overcharged me for a part that didn’t need replacing

The first impression was not good. The technician was Craig, and he was whining as soon as my wife opened the door as he thought he smelled food and chastised her for using the stove. It was coffee from the coffee maker and she had not used the stove for hours. This set the tone for the entire visit. Seemed like everything was a bother and strain, and lots of attitude and rolling of the eyes which drove my wife nuts. In the end the control board was fried as well as some of the wiring connected to it. He advised that it would be better to replace it than fix it as he didn't have confidence that it would work reliably with the fix, and we heeded his advice. I think his diagnosis and advice was correct, and he seemed knowledgeable, but would not want to deal with the attitude of this particular technician again, and as a result would not use Rob's again unless I had no other options. Unfortunate as I support local Renton small businesses whenever possible.

Mr refrigerator was making noise--I diagnosed it as a bad damper control unit.  I sent them a picture of the part by email and they ordered it.  They said it would be in two days later and scheduled the repair for the third day.  They had a 2 hour service window, and did miss that by about 10 minutes.  Otherwise everything went smoothly.  They offered to put on booties, did the work quickly and offered useful advice about the appliance.

I phoned them yesterday after pm, at which time i found out the hours of operation.  I left a voice message and hoped for a call back in the morning.  Carol called me at 8:05 and scheduled the repair for the today.  She told me to expect someone between & 1pm  The service guy Rob, showed up on time, and fixed my washer.  The price to me was very reasonable. They quoted an approximate price over the phone and they were not far off.
I will call Rob's Appliance Repair the next time we have any problems with our home appliances.
Great Job!!!!

I called first thing in the morning, was given detailed options for what the issue could be, the cost and estimated time of arrival. Rob arrived promptly that afternoon and had the part replaced within 15 minutes. He also let me know to clear the freezer so it was ready when he arrived and took less time to repair. Refrigerator has not made any strange noises since and works like a champ.

It went perfect. We called, Tue. AM and although had to leave a message, they called back and arranged for service to come on Wed AM A courteous person arrived on time and replaced the failed electronic part. He explained its purpose, and adjusted.. He even took time to repair a loose door handle. Prior to the repair the refrigeration portion was NOT cold, and the freezer portion was sub-freezing. It now works fine. Since a failed refrigerator, requires rapid service. We were VERY pleased how quickly Robs made an effort to work us in to their service.

We were underimpressed with the first time we used them. The person performing the service made a borderline rude/unprofessional comment about how my wife had waited too long to call for service. She overheard him as that comment was not meant for us to consume. But at minimum the company was local and the services were provided satisfactorily and we moved on.

Then on the second experience, we were simply disapointed overall. We had a magnetron replaced in our microwave. The person sent to the house doing the work, perhaps the same person, was less than professional again. He complained about taking the unit out of the cupboard and wanted me to do it? So in amazement I did. He replace the magnetron and the microwave was again working. It was fairly expensive, considering the person was not at our house very long and I was the one who removed the unit from the cupboard and put it back. So we paid for the servive and decided we would no longer do business with them and again moved on.

The worse part was when the manetron went dead again about 10-11 months after the installation. The part was under warranty, but it was too expensive to have them do it ...... again. So we ordered the new part and did it ourselves. The new part was again defective and did not work. When contacting the company it was a hassle to have the part replaced again. They were unable to accept that the part was again defective. The back and fourth emails between us and this company were remarkable. They did not appear to believe us that the part was again defective. We found it very unprofessionable. In the end we got a 3rd magnetron. The unit is working again. However, it has taken almsot 7 months to resolve the issue. We will no longer use Rob's.

Response from Rob's Appliance Service
"We would like to respond first with the fact that our invoice states that both parts and labor are guaranteed for a period of ninety days. However, the office manager went beyond the date and decided to look into helping this customer to get another “magnetron” from the manufacturer. The office manager had to contact the company we got the part from to see if we in fact could get another magnetron under warranty after 11 months (remember our invoice says 90 days). After checking into this and finding it could be replaced up to one year, she tried calling the customer and found “HE” was out of town on a business trip. When he returned the magnetron was given to him and then he sent his wife back with it to say there was a part missing from it (the part does not come with the magnetron) However, Rob gave the “missing” part to her for free. Weeks had gone by and the office manager received yet another call that the new magnetron again was bad/defective. In all Rob’s 32 years we’ve never seen this occur. Yet AGAIN – we replaced the magnetron. We supplied the customer with 3 magnetron parts without charge, after going through our parts division and having to be sure to get credit for the magnetron before replacing it. This part is a manufacture defective part and had nothing to do with our company – we believe the customer should really be upset with the manufacturer of the part and not our company. We went out of our way to completely satisfy the customer and yet we are bad mouthed for it. This doesn’t make much sense."

They coordinated with the tenant to make the appointment. The tenants were very happy with the result and the repairman. I was very happy with how little hassle it was for me and the price was right as well! I will use them again for all my appliance repair needs in the future.

I called Rob's yesterday and was told that Craig, a repairman with the company 30+ years, would be out between 9-11 am today. He arrived promptly, found that the heating element in the dryer was not working and brought a new one in from the truck and installed it. In less than 24 hours from the time I made the call, the work was done. The dryer now works perfectly and I can get busy drying all that laundry I had built up!

We try to hire local small businesses to keep them going in these difficult times. Rob's was the perfect example of that. I would use this company again for any repairs we need to large appliances.
