I have contacted these guys several times and was promised a call back but it never happens. They delivered a 1/2 cord of hard wood and It has been drying under my roof for a month and still will not burn.

We were gone when the cord of wood rounds arrived. My niece was at the house and paid the delivery man.
I had left instructions that the wood be placed in the driveway so I could split and stack it beside the driveway. We have a wide gate that opens up but from what my niece said, the delivery man's trailer wouldn't fit in the driveway so the wood was dumped on the grass in front of the gate.
Because I have a hydraulic wood splitter, a maul and good splitting wedge called a, "wood grenade" a slide-hammer wood splitter, an axe and a hatchet, I felt prepared to tackle the job of reducing a pile of wood rounds into a cord of stacked firewood for use this burning season. This supplier had a reasonable price and an ad that attracted me. Here is the content of that ad:

I wish I could demonstrate with a video the difficulty I've had with this "seasoned at least 4 - 7 months" wood. The wood is totally green and won't burn. I have been able to split a couple of pieces but it isn't worth the time or effort.
Seasoned wood will pop apart when it is split. But this wood must be torn apart, the fibers ripped from each side to separate them into pieces. Remember, I have a hydraulic splitter capable of exerting 4 tons of pressure. Works great on real firewood but not this stuff.
I drove a wood grenade splitting wedge into a couple of these rounds. Water juices out and runs off of the round as it is driven in, and it must be driven in until it cannot be struck anymore before the wood begins to split. Once it's driven in that far and the wood has not yet split, other tools must be used to try to get the round split. Using a slide-hammer wood splitter has helped, but on the 3 or 4 rounds I've tried to get apart I have had to use all of the tools I have to attempt retrieval of the wood grenade and to get the wood to split.
Yesterday, I worked for 50 minutes on one "round" and managed only to get a couple of small chunks to break off of the "round". I put round in italics because this impenetrable chunk of wood is really two trunks together with at least five branches radiating off the sides. It's still there in the driveway because I wore out attempting for close to an hour to get it split.
I emailed the company, leaving my email address and my phone number and saying that I'd like them to come back, give me back my money except whatever they felt was fair for gas to get here. I haven't heard back from them yet.
I feel that WWW.PREMIUM-FIREWOOD.COM has deceived me. The wood that they delivered was probably a cord as advertised, but is not seasoned. It is so difficult to split with the most common splitting tools that it cannot be broken down into firewood unless it is ripped along its lengths with a chainsaw. Something I am not prepared to do.
