All the old wiring had to be removed and new wiring brought up to code. The outdated sink had to be replaced - with a new commercial- grade cast iron beauty. Pictures , before and after, are available.

The work we needed done was really a longish list of relatively minor fixes. No big assignments this time. No matter, Leo and his crew were happy to tackle the work.
Orange Construction folks were timely, courteous, etc. etc. Kept the house clean, removed shoes on entry, vacuumed up all the drywall and paint debris on every visit. At the end of each day, I never felt like there were projects going on in the house. In other words, the workmen so completely cleaned up at the end of each day that I never felt like we were in a and quot;work zone.and quot; They removed their vaccuums, drywall gear, paint cans, etc. etc. each night and left things cleaner than when they arrived.
I liked their pricing approach as well. Instead of simply giving me an ample (or huge) estimate that would completely cover their risks, they offered a very reasonable time-and-materials rate with a ceiling price. Some people aren't comfortable with time-and-materials pricing, because they worry about getting ripped off by contractors who suddenly take an eternity to get anything done. Not the case here. These folks charge for real work time, only. If something takes a surprisingly long time due to something they could have done faster, they make adjustments. For example, one day here while repairing walls they could have applied primer, worked on something else while the primer dried, then applied paint and been done. However, the paint didn't match the existing paint clsoely enough. So they had to return to paint store and get a new batch. By that time it was end of day. So they had to return next day to apply paint. Remarkably, even tho the bad match of paint color was arguably the fault of the paint store, they took a couple hours off the invoice. I certainly didn't think this was necessary.
Another example of fair pricing involved a built-in bathtub that we had concluded was leaking. Rather than give us a gargantuan estimate, one that would cover the possible cost of pulling out the existing tub, repairing any rot, etc. they instead proposed a very modest and quot;ceiling estiamteand quot; for simply opening up a wall to inspect the underside of the tub and surrounding joists (and also repairing and repainting the wall). Our undestanding was that they would prepare an additional estiamte once they had more information abouot the leak and any interior damage. As it turned out, the location we were convinced was leaking was in fact totally fine...and there was no water damage. They showed me all this, to my considerable relief. So they sealed up the wall and returned everything to original condition. Cost: about $200, and less than their estiaamte.
I should mention that I used these same professionals years ago when they were working with another firm to build a heated outbuilding (office space) on another property. They installed plumbing, did finishing electrical, heating, etc. A much bigger project that involved multiple subcontractors. Results also excellent.

The experience went great they sat down with me and went through options, styles, time frame for the project ect.ect.
They did an amazing job finding deals on the cabinets, appliances, and counter tops. what i really liked is that they took the tile that was already there and gave it a complete rejuvenation and made them look like new. All in all i would recommend this company
to anyone that wants top-notch, quality workmanship by friendly, energetic, driven, professionals.

I want to endorse this construction company for all the work they have done for me. The company is owned by Leonardo Gonzalez, and I have had quite a bit of work done by Scott, who does a lot of the construction. It is excellent, tasteful and details are done to perfection! He not only does excellent work, he has an eye for what would enhance the space and will make suggestions. If something is not right, he calls attention to it. As he was working on our duplex, he discovered a problem underneath, and fixed the situation. He also did some trouble-shooting with the siding that was not installed properly the first time, and was coming off.
Previously, Scott had rehabbed a cottage we own as well, and had built a beautiful trellis as an entrance to a labyrinth in our front yard. It is now covered with a rather heavy wisteria, and is holding it up with no trouble. This man is a perfectionist!
I have known the persons involved in this company for some time, and am confident in their work and their ability to obtain excellent materials at the most reasonable prices possible. I would recommend this company without reservation.
