Mountain View Hardwood Flooring

He was fantastic. He was referred to us from two different people. He came out the day after I called him to give me an estimate. He was very knowledgeable on flooring, and he was very accommodating and helpful. He made a second visit just to show me a sample of flooring that he didn't have with him on the previous that he had recommended, which I ended up using. I couldn't be happier. He put the order in, and he had it in within four days. He was even done a day earlier than we had expected. His crew was super professional, and the floors were finished on site-which is very dusty, but they did a great job cleaning.

Just for the estimate, Ken showed up an hour and a half late. He implied he would do the work, but three non-English speaking workers showed up an hour late with no supervision and a hand drawn map. They would have tried to pull up the carpet in the wrong room if my fianc hadn't taken the day off to make sure things went right. Ken wouldn't have even come over to inspect their progress, but I insisted. My mother-in-law was home downstairs when the workers didn't know and she said she heard them running up and down the halls and that they had friends come over while they were working. She actually had to go upstairs to tell them to work! They didn't put up plastic to keep the dust from the rooms that weren't being worked on. The work itself was fine, once they finally were finished. We used a water-based polyacrylic, which he guaranteed us was just as strong and better than Swedish finishing. However, he neglected to tell us what to use to clean it and (after he wouldn't return my calls asking him what to use) the product we tried ate a hole in the finish. We tried to get him to come out to fix it (we would pay) but he won't return the 20 calls we've made. We had another professional come out and he told us that there weren't three coats of finish like we paid for, that's why the finish is gone. Don't use this company. He's completely unresponsive and unprofessional.

They have a good quality of work, however the workers didn't speak English well. They had to cut the carpet and put the tack strips on and she charged me an extra sixty dollars. They didn't sweep the driveway very well when they were done. They showed up a little late to do the work.
