I hired MOG2/Ric Beard to replace a bathtub. What a nightmare. They damaged the walls/window frame, put in the new tub over dry rot (I was home and saw the dry rot when the tub was pulled out), did a horrible job on the drywall, put on the showerhead upside down (an indication of how unable they were to do basic work), and so much other faulty workmanship. The worst came a few months after the job when the tub quit draining completely. None of the plumbing ever worked right. I hired a plumber who said all the hardware had been installed wrong. The overflow valve wasn’t even attached (which could have caused flooding), there were leaks behind the wall due to the hardware not being installed correctly. It cost me $1600 to fix his work (so far)! I contacted him about the plumbing bill and he refused to communicate by email (I wanted proof of communication). He sent one text. I have now filed a case in small claims court. Not surprisingly the proof of papers being served was not received because they weren’t signed for. I don’t know how he has any positive reviews. I guess hire him and find out for yourself. This is one tool I will use next time I hire a contractor: [*** Link removed ***]
