Customer Service. We had to make numerous calls for information and follow-up.
Emails were not responded to in a reasonable time frame. Lot's of excuses.
Workmanship. Our very specific guidelines were provided to
Mocon and they indicated they were familiar with them from two other
projects they had in our community. For the most part the standards were
met. The wrong paint color was applied and on a walk-through I noted a
few boards I was not happy with. They had deep gouges in them. Also a
couple of the caps were put on crooked.
The proper color was subsequently applied but poor attention to detail left spots unpainted. The boards were not replaced and no adjustment was made to the crooked caps.
Fence post are good and solid and the gate and hardware was fine.
Price. I felt the price was at the upper end but wanted a professional job with the least amount of hassle, so the price was accepted. Based on the results, I believe what was charged by Mocon was not a good value.
Final Observations. I sensed Mocon had more interest in their commercial work and our project was a job filler. They sadly seem to think they can be excellent in the commercial market and mediocre for their
residential work. That's a poor strategy in my opinion. Our community has a large perimeter that is due for replacement. This project will reflect on their consideration.
Timeliness. The project was estimated to be four days.
It took a month. Appointment and time estimates were constantly no met.
Their performance did not meet their personal promises or those expressed on their website.

They were easy to work with, but it took a couple of calls to get started with them. It tells me something when a long-established company is busy in the off-season, in that they have jobs when their competitors don't. They worked within the schedule I requested, and did some small extras that weren't in the bid while holding to the original cost.
I would use them again.

They had a reasonable price and the work was good. It just seemed to take a while to get the service done.

They were very responsive to our need for an immediate job, and had the work done within a few days for the lowest price of the 3 bids we had. They cleaned up after themselves, and left the site as they found it.

They came as committed and did a good job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

THE COMPANY WAS A LITTLE DELAYED IN GETTING TO MY JOB DUE TO SNOW IN THE AREA. ONCE THEY WERE HERE, THEY WERE VERY QUICK. THEY WERE ALSO COST EFFECTIVE.
