They selected energy officiant reasonable priced replacement water heater for me include all parts I needed. I first thought those parts are little pricey because I thought I just need to change tank. Those parts were expansion tank that carry hot water instantaneously to distanced shower etc. They came on time for the day of installation, and work is done very professionally, beautifully, timely manner.

One man came out on time, replaced it , cleaned up and completed work the same day. He also removed the stand and the old water heater and bring it with him.

Best price I have seen. Very professional and prompt.

Everything went fine, other than the scheduling issue.  Materials, also purchased at McLendon Hardware, were additional $300.00.  This was a small job, so McLendon Home Services sent their general handyman rather than the fence contractor which was perfect to take care of this.  There is a 2 hour minimum, and this job took just over that.  I rated punctuality down only because the first appt .was cancelled without my knowledge, and no one at the Puyallup store (they handled the scheduling) was able to explain why.  Railing looks great, and the gentleman even checked the product directions before installing to confirm some small details which were unfamiliar to him.  (he had installed another brand of railing, but Fortress brand was what I had purchased, and it attached  railing in different manner).  I am very happy with the service.

When I went into the McLendon's Renton store to order a shed from Better Built Barns(BBB), the gentleman named Tim who helped me out knew less about the buildings than I had learned from the brochure that I had picked up and read. We managed to get through the ordering process and Tim most likely knows more now than he did then. He tried hard and wanted to be helpful. When I started to have the difficulties with BBB, I contacted Tim and he passed on the message to Ray Chapman who apparently is the manager in charge of that area of the store. If you would like details on the problems with BBB, please look at our review in Angie's list about that experience. Anyway, I worked with Ray Chapman and he told me that he would get together with BBB and get some help with the poor performance by that contractor. Throughout this process Ray told me how concerned he was about this unfortunate situation. Ultimately, Ray asked me to tell him how he and McLendon's could make us satisfied. I told Ray that all I wanted was for the building to be made level and the roof to be replaced with a roof that meets modern standards. He told me to get a roofing contractor to give me a bid on the roof replacement and send it to him. By the way, McLendon's was unable to get BBB to even level the building. I had to force BBB to do so by filing a complaint about that with the Better Business Bureau. So, I had Stewart Roofing, which is a reputable contractor with high ratings on Angie's list and we have used before for other jobs, give me a bid. I sent the bid to Ray Chapman via email. I also tried several times to contact Ray by phone. To this date, I still have not heard back from Ray. The thing I resent most about this situation is that Ray himself asked me to go through the extra effort to get this additional information and he hasn't even had the courage to at least call me and tell me himself that he couldn't do anything about the problems with BBB. At this point our disappointment with McLendon's and Better Built Barns is complete. We no longer will do business with McLendon's or Better Built Barns.

McClendon's is AWESOME. SUPER customer focused, very knowledgeable and genuinely personable people and good prices.

In short, McClendon's was the only honest installer who quoted a reasonable price. This was followed by a high quality installation. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it and did it for the price they quoted.
I could give you many examples of all the companies who quoted our project and how poorly they did in being reasonable. Because of the exact brand we needed, we bought the water heaters from Lowe's. Lowe's uses a third party called Discount Water Heaters. Some and quot;discountand quot; as their quote for labor alone was more than twice (yes, we're talking $1,500) to install two hot water heaters for labor alone. For 5 hours, by my math that's $300 per hour.

There's no shortage of help or knowledge at McLendons! Unlike their big competitors which tend to employ teeny-boppers who don't know squat, McLendons employees offer a mature attitude and a sincere willingness to answer any question you may have. Bravo!

There was no fudging or estimating of the installation cost. The only extra money I paid was for the additional parts involved with the new shut-off valves. The only downside to using McLendon's plumber is that he is not available for after hours emergencies, but if you are able to schedule him during working hours, I highly recommend him.

McL came in as the lowest quote and had the best reputation among the companies contacted. I worked with Taylor in Sales to formulate the specifics regarding the layout of the new porch, materials we'd like to use and meeting our budget requirements.
Taylor was very responsive via phone and email. He was even receptive to us sending pictures of the type of railing we wanted for the deck. The project came in on budget and on time taking only two days to complete.
Terry and his assistant were the skilled workers on the project and did a great job. They arrived on time on the first day and we reviewed the specifics and layout again so that we were all on the same page. They finished the new porch the second day, although arriving a little later then expected, and cleaned up behind themselves, even sweeping our driveway.
It did take a while to settle the last of the charges after the porch was complete but once they did call I appreciated them asking questions about the job and my satisfaction with the process and finished project. The porch looks fantastic and is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be using McL again for other projects around our property.

It went great. We initially got a lot of information from the lumber desk about the different materials options for our new deck and finally decided on Trex. Larry offered us a 10% discount too. We ordered all the materials and scheduled delivery. Everything came as ordered and when scheduled.

MCLENDONS HARDWARE HAS PROVEN OVER AND OVER THAT THEY NOT ONLY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED WHEN YOU NEED IT BUT THAT MOST ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT WHEN THEY ARE HELPING YOU. ALSO THEY ARE HAPPY TO HELP YOU.

THE CLERK TOOK ME THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS, FROM A TO Z. HE EXPLAINED THE PREPARATION OF THE FLOOR, ALL THE MATERIALS NEEDED, HOW TO CUT THE WOOD, HOW TO DO THE MOLDING. HE SHOWED ME ALL THAT I WOULD NEED, AND I HAD A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION.
