I observed Jim Hunsaker and his crew replacing the drainage system for my neighbor down the hill. Since we had developed a problem with water coming through the foundation into a couple of basement bedrooms and the existing drains were overflowing where the downspout connected to them in heavy rain I figured the existing was plugged. I asked Jim for advice and a bid to replace the existing drain system. His bid and availability seemed reasonable given the amount of work that needed to be done so I made a handshake deal with him to do the work the next week.
With a confirming phone call the next week part of the crew came a day ahead to dig out the old drains and make the trenches for the new drain. After a day of heavy rain the whole came and installed the new drain system in one day. The installation went smoothly and the clogged ribbed black plastic drain pipe was replaced with smooth white 6 inch drain pipe that runs to an existing street drain. We had a good heavy rain the day after installation. As a result I had the pleasure of standing in the rain watching a good clear flow of water exiting the new drain system. This should fix the problem with the basement bedrooms!
Jim's crew did an excellent job of replacing the turf and gravel they had to cut through to do the job. They also connected to the newly replaced downspouts without and nicks or scratches.
Jim was also kind enough to dispose of old railroad ties a previous owner had used for a flower bed and the soil from it, that I suspect came for the original drain system installation. I found he and his crew easy to work with and will have him back for some landscape design planning in the future.

We really liked him when we first met him. He emailed us an estimate that we agreed upon with all the things I wanted done. They did the work when we weren't at home. He cleaned out and put rocks and removed the Cala Lilly's. They did a fair job of weeding all the landscape beds. I called him to let him know that he forgot to put rocks by the carport. It took him several months later to respond. He said that the rocks were a long way away. I asked him to call before he delivered so I could be there to talk to him about some other issues. He came when we weren't here and dropped rocks that don't match the other ones he put in previously. He was supposed to look at the Cala Lillys that wouldn't go away. He will not respond to me. I feel like he got his money and now he's done with us. I am very disappointed.

They are great. Everything works out very well with them and they are very good. I would recommend them definitely.

I have used them a couple of times. They have experience. They show up when I need them to do the work. They do the work quickly and the results are a pleasure to behold. It just makes maintaining this area easy.
