"Thanks [Member Name Removed] call me anytime."
Over the past few months, I have been upgrading my front yard: expanding driveway, creating parking area, and designing and building a Corten Steel plated multi-tier retaining wall.
I called Ryan early in the process while I was laying out drawings, post-hole digging, researching steel makers, welders, and making decisions on how thick the steel sheets should be and how robust the steel tube supports should be. These early discussions were very helpful for me in determining what materials to use and how to set up the frame-work for the retaining walls.
The Job:
Ryan is very detailed and meticulous in his work!
My girlfriend/partner is an Architect/Interior Designer and when Ryan was clarifying the options for finishing off the corners of the retaining walls, she was very impressed with his 'plan of attack'. He earned a gold-star from a woman with very high standards.
1) Vertical support: Ryan made sure all-was-level-and-square before welding sheets to vertical steel tubes
2) Horizontal Angle Bars: Ryan topped off (cut) vertical steel tubes as needed to provide a platform for the angle-bars to rest on prior to welding. Ryan maintained an open line of communication to make sure he was leaving enough space above the lateral structure prior to welding.
3) Rain-or-Shine: On the 2nd day of the job, it rained all day long. Ryan stayed focused, and maintained his high level of quality of work.
4) Ryan completed the structural requirements for the retaining walls on day 2 (while drenched!!)
** When the monsoon's move on, Ryan will return to finish of the edges ... I look forward to working with him again ***
Highly recommended!
