"Thank you for your review and walking through the process of getting the rats out of the crawlspace. And thank you for your patience with the snow. Thought we could beat it, but Mother Nature had some other plans for us in the end."
"Thank you for the feedback! We design our approaches to be sensitive to children and pets and it is good to hear that our staff was sensitive to your concerns."
"Our mole baiting program is a 3 week program with weekly visits. There are some cases where we are seeing the results take place and maybe an additional visit would be helpful. But when there is still significant mole activity in the yard then we have to go back to an additional 3 more weeks. Doing another weekly treatment would not have given you the results that you would have wanted and just left you more frustrated. Baiting for moles can be very challenging depending on the homeowner's individual yard. With our 3 week baiting system we get the desired results 95% of the time. Those few times it doesn't work on the first 3 weeks is usually due to extremely heavy activity and/or rodents also using the mole tunnels and eating the bait. Unfortunately you had a unique situation."
"Client originally called for a WDI (Wood Destroying Insect) inspection for the sale of the home. During the inspection it was found in the crawlspace that there was Moisture Ant activity, Carpenter Ant activity, and significant rodent activity. A discount was given on the cost for the treatment because of the previous WDI inspection and the ant treatment could take care of both types of ants. Drilling into the wall void from the outside is the standard treatment for those ants (spraying inside the crawlspace is usually not needed and could lead to a misapplication of the product). Different prices were given, including replacing the vapor barrier and insulation, to give options for whatever the client wanted to do for sale of the home. It does look like we had to resend out another technician due to the tightness of the crawlspace, but that wouldn't normally be an issue with most home. We apologize for any confusion and having to resend out another technician."
"We have doing rodent control for almost 30 years. But I guess if your Arborist says that we don't know what we are doing ... then I can't argue with that. If your trees are within 3 to 4 feet of the roofline, the roof rats will use the trees to access the roof and then into the attic. First step is to cut back the vegetation and allow the bait stations a chance to work (which you asked for us to remove early)."
"Sorry that you were not happy with the service. You signed up for the whole year bi-monthly program that covers all general pests. While the initial concern was the ants, when I arrived (I'm the owner) the first time we could not verify that there was any ants and/or what type there could be. The treatment for moisture ants would have required drilling into the wall void and before doing that treatment we really need to confirm that it is an issue. Reviewing our notes, we did make some treatments for insects and ants through the course of the year. Regular annual program is over $655, you received the 7 visits for about $450. When I went into your crawlspace and found rats were in the insulation that became a big issue from a pest management perspective. Allowing rats inside your crawlspace is not a small issue as they will continue to do damage and potentially can destroy wiring and plumbing. Cost for sealing the entry points was just a little over $1000 if you had wanted to chosen that option. Doing a complete cleanout and removing all the damaged debris plus sealing was closer to the $3000."
