Gerald is a great tech and an even better person. He was professional and provided a very educational experience. As a new home owner, I will take all the education I can get. While I waited for the part I needed to come in, Gerald leant us a heater until the job could be completed. I wish there were more technicians out there like Gerald, he is the type of person you can put your full trust in and know you will be treated fairly, something that is scarce these days.

My experience with them was very good. He showed up on time and explained what he did. He explained what should happen in the future. All positive things from my experience. They should feel free to take advantage of his skills and his business. His price is competitive.

Furnace Tech has been my annual furnace cleaning service since Nov of 1999 when he made an emergency visit to my cold home at 10 PM. My very ill Mother was visiting from out of state and I really needed to get the furnace running for her health sake. He was recommended by a neighbor. I can't say enough good things about this gentleman. He has serviced and made major repairs. He is always honest and fair about repairs. I trust him implicitly.

The first time he came out promptly and fixed the furnace. Two weeks later when our circuit board went out he already had a full day on his schedule. However, he knew we were without heat so he stopped in quickly in the AM to analyze the problem and confirm the circuit board needed replacing. As he schedule was booked he had his wife call around to find one (again, old furnace, not easy to find parts) and fortunately there was one available not too far away. So, Vera drove out to get the part and met Jerry near our house so they could get it fixed that day and he was still able to make all his other appointments on time. Now I wouuld call that exceptional service. As noted above... Furnace Tech has saved us the money we would have spent years ago to replace this furnace. The first time he came out the gas company had "red flagged" our furnace because it wasn't working properly and we hadn't maintained it. We were lucky to find Furnace Tech in the yellow pages. Jerry took the time to explain how the system works, proper maintenance and filter changing. A real class act.

During the recent cold snap when the temps were in the teens, my furnace went out. I first called PSE on Thurs and they couldnt come out till Fri while I was at work. They did not call me to tell me they didnt fix my furnace but only left a note saying they needed to order a part. Since it was Fri night and they are closed for the weekend I couldnt even reach them till Monday. I found Furnace Tech on Angies List on Sat morning and they came out that afternoon. He also said he would have to order a new inducer motor but he said he would try to fix it at least temporarily to keep my house warm until a new motor came in. He pulled out the old motor and worked on it until he got it running. I stayed warm and he came back and installed the new motor the next week. He is my hero!

On Sunday, during the great snow storm in Dec. 2008, my tenant called at 3 p.m. because toxic smells were coming from the gas heater. Smelled like burnt plastic. They had to shut off the heater but it was below freezing outside with over a foot of snow. Found Furnace Tech on Angie's List. Jerry is the owner and sole employee. Been repairing furnaces for over 30 years. He correctly guessed the diagnosis over the phone. The fan motor had burned out. He went to the house in his four wheel drive truck and installed a new motor. He had to fabricate a new fastening bracket because the new motor was a little different than the failed old motor. Before he took the job he told me his rates, $125 on week days and $200 on Sundays. Despite our agreement, once the job was done he cut his rate to $180 and hour. This during a snow storm and dinner time on Sunday. Great guy. I'll use him anytime.

They found the problem and it was late on a weekend and they did not have the part. I found the part and installed it. I was desperate. I called them to tell them what I did. The furnace worked, but I wanted them to check things out. They came out to make sure I did it right. They did not charge me for the second visit, since I did install it correctly and they did not spend much time at my house.

Went great. We just bought this house, so a few things needed done. My electrician had refused to install the thermostat for reasons we still can't figure out. Jack installed it no problem, even set the programming for me. He cleaned the furnace, and taught me what I need to do to maintain this style furnace. Great information, prompt, super to work with.

Our furnace stopped working and I called Furnace Tech to come and check out the furnace to determine the problem. I called on a Saturday and they were willing to come out that afternoon, but I had them come Monday morning. Gerald arrived on time and did a thorough check on the furnace. He determined that since our furnace was 21 years old and would need major work, that we look into having the old furnace replaced. He gave us names of several good companies to call and recommended several excellent brands of furnaces. Gerald was very friendly and we would recommend Furnace Tech to anyone needing repairs.

I HAD SEEN THIS MAN DRIVING AROUND IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND THOUGHT WE WOULD GIVE HIM A TRY. HE TOOK GOOD CARE OF US AND SERVICED OUR FURNACE. GAVE US A LITTLE EDUCATION AS WELL. THUMBS UP FOR HIM.

THEY DID FAIRLY WELL. THEY TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THEN I HAD PREDICTED IT TO BE, BUT THEY ONLY TOOK AN HOUR TO GET IT ALL PUT TOGETHER, OTHER THAN THAT THEY DID A GOOD JOB.

THE REPAIRMAN CAME THE SAME DAY I CALLED. IN FACT HE WAS THERE WITHIN AN HOUR. HE CHECKED OUT THE FURNACE AND FOUND A PAPER TOWEL STUCK IN THE DRUM OF THE BLOWER. HE ENDED UP STAYING AND CLEANING MY FURNACE ALSO.
